Thicker gage is better.
Was cleaning my drain, and my wire brush poked a hole in the P-trap and leaked all over. Needed to replace. Installed easily, and this thicker version should last much longer to the point that I won't have to deal with that again. Bought a bunch so I can redo the P traps on a bunch of my sinks that see significant use.

Worth what you pay
This drain is exactly what it says it is. It does the job and looks great. The only downside is it is very thin. So I don't expect it to last as long as thicker, more expensive, drains. But if I get a couple of years out of it I will consider it a good value.
