I used this for awhile before writing a review. I especially wanted to wait until I had a coldsore breakout since that's specifically why I bought this. But, first of all I didn't have a breakout for awhile while taking this, which impressed me initially because I get them all the time!!! If you look at me wrong, bam! Coldsore! So I went longer than normal without anything. Then, a vacation of course did cause a breakout. I took this as soon as I noticed it. I was taking one pill each day and when I got a cluster of sores starting to sprout I started taking it twice a day. This stopped them from getting big which I don't think has ever happened. And it cleared up in just 3 days. This was amazing!!!! I did use it with a lysine chapstick as well. It worked far better than anything I've used including prescription medications. I was so happy at how well these seemed to really kick my coldsore problem to the curb. So glad I gave this a chance. I was nervous it wouldn't work. I get one coldsore, or a cluster of many coldsores at least once a month, or more. And they usually take a few weeks to go away... Just in time for my next outbreak. This stuff was amazing. My coldsores didn't even really become coldsores while using this. It really made my breakout so minimal and then cleared up completely so quickly. I am back to taking this once a day and will continue to use this.

This is a fantastic product! I've struggled with Lingual Papillitis for quite a while, and whether placebo or not, these big 'ole pills get rid of them quickly. As with many HSV type cases you can kinda feel when you're about to have an outbreak. Usually when I get that tingling I take 1 pill a day for the following three days and I don't even have an outbreak! If you struggle with Lingual Papillitis (swollen Papillae on the tongue) TRY THESE PILLS.All this being said, however, I did notice a marked increase in allergy symptoms after taking these. The increase in symptom severity and pill usage correlate just enough to reckon that the allergy-like symptoms are side-effects of the L-Lysine. However, the disappearance of the papillitis for me greatly outweighs the side-effects.

L-Lysine has really proven to boost my immune system. Pills are a little large but I don't mine.

Let me start this off with every person is different. I'm assuming this will work similar with other people as it has with me though.Ok, now to the review. I have gotten cold sores since... well since as far back as I can remember. I'm almost 21 years old now and I am very self-conscious about having cold sores. It gives me such bad anxiety and I get panic attacks and blehh... it's not good. Frankly, it makes me want to hide away and just never go out ever again. I used to get cold sores every month or so, and sometimes 2+ times a month in the winter. It devastated me. I heard about lysine from my doctor because I couldn't afford to keep up the prescribed stuff and he said that Lysine would be better because it's preventative and still helps get rid of them when happen to get a cold sore. I ordered this quite a while ago and started taking 1 pill twice a day. I didn't have any cold sores. At all. When winter first started this year, I went to visit family in california and got sick from them. I was stressing out about a lot of things (the possibility of getting a cold sore was one of the main stressors), so of course, I got a cold sore. I started taking 2 pills 3 times a day. I'm sure if it was possible to overdose on this, I would have. The cold sore went through its normal cycle, but a lot quicker. Winter isn't over yet, so I've been taking 2 pills twice a day and I haven't had one again (yet). I really owe so much to L-Lysine.I know this was a long review, but I hope it helps someone. And I really hope that L-Lysine will help you like it has me. You don't even have to buy it from this seller. (I just did because it was cheaper haha) Good luck and Godspeed!!

Well, it is either take 2-500 mg. daily or 1-1,000 mg. daily, so it is up to the individual to decide which is easiest. So I will reorder! dlp
