This garbage bag is 100% compostable. That means it is made from bio based materials like cornstarch. So even if you don't reuse it and throw it in the dumpster, it will decompose without a machine / facility on its own. I have attached some pictures of how the product looks on delivery. I did a lot of research on this and realised that we Indians are not aware that such trash bags are harming the environment. Simply because they can be recyclable if and only if the muncipal garbage disposal trucks differentiate them seperately and send it to recyclable factories.I searched online and dumping grounds like Deonar in Mumbai are just landfills. That means garbage are carelessly dumped into the open and left to rot. Biodegradable garbage bags require oxygen to degrade. But the Deonar landfill had 18-storey high garbage as of 2014 (articles on this can be found online). This means those trash bags need to be at the very top of each pile to get oxygen. So the best option is garbage bags like this product :)Highly recommended for people who want to make this world a better place. It may seem it is expensive but hey...45 garbage bags for 575 INR is 12 INR per bag. You can avoid going one weekend of the month for chilling and do some good. And the best part, you don't have to do any extra work to go ahead with this green initiative. All you have to do is continue with your lifestyle and throw your household garbage in this bag :)Hits: 100% natural. Will not harm the environment in any way even if you throw your household dump outside. The bag will decompose on its own. I was expecting more number of bags but what I received were 32 bags for a total of Rs.320/- Otherwise, no issues....just would have preferred to know the number of bags before placing the order. If you don't mind paying Rs.10/- per bag, then go ahead.

Good product . the picture online is misleading as it showed multiple packs. That's why I bought the item for bin-liner usage. I felt cheated when I received a pack of 20 bags.Anyways , misleading is underlined in most productsThanks

PLEASE buy these for the sake of the soil. I don't know about the supplier situation in different cities, but all three times, I got what I ordered. It IS compostable. It IS a MUST buy. I encourage you to order this because our earth needs more of these. I use them only for wet/food wate and they last two days WITHOUT ripping (they might get a bit soggy by end of two days).DO NOT buy just "biodegradable", this one will start breaking down within 180 days which is the standard for this material (I am planning to experiment this, when I get the time) but the material seems promising.

The bags are very easily tearable since they are pretty flimsy. One has to be very careful not to put anything heavy in the bags. Not really the best product imo.
