Your favorite comic character in a book!
We bought this book recently after realizing it even existed. It was perfect and great in helping us heal after losing grandpa who loved pickles SO much. The character you’ve grown to love from your Sunday paper doesn’t disappoint in this book. Must read over and over again.

Really is for 3-5 year olds
I have all of brian Crane's cartoon books and decided that I had to get this "kids" cartoon book. It truly is crafted for small children. Can't put this one on he bathroom reading shelf. I gave my copy to the local library.

Not for young kids
I really like Pickles comic strips. Thought I would introduce my youngest grandchild to Earl. But I found it too confusing for the youngster. Older kids would get it, but not enough story for the older kids.It has a good idea of Earl mixing things up or changing them to fit the situation, but hard to follow for a 4 year old.

I laughed out loud with every turn of the page.
This is a hilarious story illustrated by the author of the popular “Pickles” comic strip. I had to practice reading it several times... trying not to laugh out loud... before reading it to my grandchildren. If you’re a fan of Earl and Opal, you will love this book.

My Dad loved the book.
I bought my father the book for Christmas. He loved it. He relates as a Grandpa to a young boy.
