Actually works
Listen if you want a cheap and easy way to get the job done this is your option right here. I do recommend it because from a far you barely notice it even up close it’s better than it was before lol.

Clean off thewith rubbing alcohol so it clears off the oils and dirt before applying.
I figured I would post some pictures to show off what I bought it for. These scratches were from the previous owner and I was tired of seeing these white on black scratches. I have only dealt with a paint marker once before and didn't do research, so that ended lumpy. This time around though, I watched YouTube videos and figured I would give it a go. I have a Deep Black Pearl Passat and the color matched perfectly. It even has the metallic specks in it, so the comparison to a sharpie from another review is kind of ridiculous. I know it wasn't a fine enough point, so I used a fine paint brush to cover the scratches. I did a quick touch up because it was too hot to stay outside otherwise I would put on another layer. The after picture is just after one coat of the black paint and no clear coat.

Did the job, mostly
I can't really complain too much as anyone should know that filling in paint scratches on a car will never look perfect. That being said, I really just wanted to fill in the scratches that were rusting and this did the job. It comes with a clear coat as well, but there is no direction on how to apply that. There is very little direction at all, so don't expect it to look perfect unless you are well versed in car paint.

Do not buy
This is the worst paint pen I have ever used. The paint does not come out properly and when it finally starts bleeding down the pen, it is impossible to use. It is goopy, not at all the right consistency to be used, and does not apply well to the area. I had to use xylene to thin the paint from the pen so I could have a clean slate to try again with a different brand. Would not recommend.

Matches color
This is a perfect match to the color and blends well as far as I can tell. These were really easy to use on the few scratches I had.

Really Expensive Sharpies
Arrived very quickly. Color seems to match but its black so a magic marker would probably match just as well :-) On that subject, I'm not particularly fond of VWs dispensing method. The pens are not difficult to understand. Shake the pen for a minute to mix the paint, remove the cap and depress the spring loaded felt tip, paint flows onto the felt tip and now you can touch-up your chips and scratches. Here's my issue: paint quantity is hard to modulate because the tip is relatively large. Additionally, after a few spots are touched-up, the sharp edges become blunted making it more difficult to fix the smaller flaws. Just about like using a Sharpie, in short time, your fine point becomes a blunt blotter. I miss the 'old school method' of little glass bottles and fine pointed brushes. However, this is somewhat better than those ballpoint roller pens. "Better than nothing" is the best I can say. Its still better than rock chips.
