Super comfy, light, and cool (look and temperature)!!
Got this because my old basic one finally fell apart. This was a major upgrade since I've been going a little more crazy trails, but I really needed something that was cooler for me and my head. This definitely did the trick, super safe, fits nice, light, and very breathable so you stay cool. I have been very happy with it, and will actually wear a helmet instead of not now. Not brave enough to take gopro footage with it yet, but it does have the attachment!

Road Bike Helmet
I use it for road biking. It looks great. It is very comfortable. It fits well. What more is there? Since they say it is for "Dirt bikes", I think it is heftier and covers more of your head in the back. I found it to be one of the best helmets I have owned over my biking so far (I just crossed 100,000 miles of recorded rides).

Best mountain bike helmet I have used so far....
I needed to replace my current mountain bike helmet and I was looking for something that I would be able to clip a light to so I can see when I am riding at night or early in the morning. This helmet has a clip that you can attach a light or a GoPro camera (or something similar) to, and you can unclip it when you don't need it and clip it back in when you need it. This helmet has the MIPS system, which is good and so far I have not had a crash to test it out, but I am glad that I have it; the helmet fits nicely on my head and sinches down in the back to conform to your head and keep it on; and sometimes it doesn't even feel like I am wearing it. I would recommend this helmet to anyone who rides gravel or MTB.

looks good and seems well constructed
I bought this to replace my 30 year old specialized bike helmet. I liked that this brand has many models that score well on V-Tech's ratings. I find the helmet comfortable, and looks pretty good. I think the construction is pretty good too. I feel a bit safer now with a newer helmet.

Perfect fit for a big head!
This is an out-of-the-box review. I have not yet taken a ride with it. I'll update when I do.This is my second Giro bike helmet. My first saved me from serious/permanent injury a few weeks ago, when I crashed on my gravel bike and smacked my head pretty good on the asphalt. I wanted one with a visor, and maybe a little more ear/back-of-the-head protection. After a good bit of research on other BIG helmets, I went with this because of the visor and previous life-saving experience from Giro. It did not disappoint. It fits my 25.5cm head *perfectly*, with room for my skull cap, to keep the sweat out of my eyes. It sits nice and low on my head, about 1" above my eyebrows, which is supposed to be ideal height. It is super comfortable, and lightweight. Though this is a dirt bicycling helmet, I'm using it on my road bike, because of the visor. All the trails in Southern California run north/south, so in winter you're staring into the Sun half the time, so a visor is great to have.Really happy to have such an awesome-fitting helmet!

Stand out helmet
The citronella color definitely stands out. I'm female and usually buy a SM size helmet. When trying it on the helmet fit well and was comfortable. It is more compact and lighter than my other GIRO helmet, looks a little less like a "mushroom head". Has more/lower coverage on the back of the helmet and the visor is longer and lower to shade my eyes from the sun. Gave it a 4 star because I haven't ridden in it yet. Headed out for a three day ride on the Katy Trail - this will be the test ride.Update: Rode 30+ miles today and the helmet worked well. Good ventilation and comfortable after loosening the tension. The visor worked well for keeping the sun out of my eyes. The citronella color is highly visible.

Great MIPS style helmet for mountain biking
My old helmet was nearly 10 years old... gross and crusty from the years of sweat/pain climbing up and down the local mountains, so I finally decided it was time to upgrade my safety. (a recent surprise crash made me realize how important my head was).Went with the Giro because the sizing and fit was best for my longer, round head. Plenty of adjustments and was able to get it to fit the way I like around my chin. Several of the other cheaper options didn't come with adjustable chin strap/ear height bands -- these were critical in my case for whatever reason!Been using for several months and still love this helmet!PS, has a camera mount if you're into filming your crashes. For me it went in the recycle bin. I'd rather not relive the pain! Cheers!

solid and comfortable helmet - with MIPS
Although this is a bit heavier than my past Giro helmets (like the Zen and Xar), I really do not notice. The weather for my rides so far has not been very warm, but it seems to ventilate reasonably well. Very comfortable, secure retention system, and after a bit of adjustment the visor seems to work well. I tend to ride my mountain bike on the road quite a bit and I will probably wear a lighter, even better ventilated helmet during hot summer days, but most of the year and on the trails here in Colorado, I will wear this one. It does seem to be a step up in the level of protection from the aforementioned helmets. I picked it up when the price dropped over $30 recently - worth it at this price point.
