A good quality Vacuum Pump made for the trade.
I bought this Vacuum Pump in 2014 from another source. This price here is too high. I wanted to install a 4-Ton Split System Heat Pump. Not knowing a lot about the installation or HVAC, I did some studying. The HVAC Contractor wanted over $8000 to install their 13 SEER Heat Pump.. I found a 4-Ton 15 SEER Heat Pump on the Internet for $1260 shipped. (Those days are gone for good). Bought a matching Coil for $325. Poured a slab for the outdoor Condenser. Wired it up and got a friend to braze in the lineset. I bought this Vacuum Pump, Manifold gauges, Refrigerant Scale, Micron Gauge and other miscellaneous pieces. Installed the System and it's working great. My friend told me I did a better install than the Pros as I took my time. Since then, I Vacuumed and charged 2 Refrigerators, a Wine Cooler and one Freezer. Installed 2 Mini-Splits, repaired and charged an Auto Air Condioner. Recharged my Neighbors Air Conditioner. All of this was done with this Mastercool 5 CFM Pump to draw down the systems to under 100 Microns. Learned a lot and saved even more. I got my Refrigerant Handling License so I can be on the up and up. I recommend this Vacuum Pump. It has been great.
