Variation on a theme.
As most people are probably aware, this is a variation on the beloved Condor Bushlore.Blade is full tang, steel takes a good edge, and the sheath, while primitive, retains the knife great and is made with the good leather Condor is known for. Pinch the sheath before putting the blade in, give a quick bop on the end to secure it, and you're good. Pinch again to remove it, but do it slow; don't risk your fingers. A light covering with your preferred leather softener will make this easier. Put some crumpled newspaper in the bottom of the sheath if you're concerned about it poking through.I picked this up because it speaks to that cave-person still present in a lot of us, Joe Flowers hit the mark pretty well in that regard. It feels like a neolithic tribe did their best to give you something you can travel the world with. You get your hands on it, feel that heavy inquisitive grunt our ancestors made, and think of the wild places you can put this to work. Not a big fan of the brass wire, but if this is the only thing you had, you'd be fine. The other thing is the overall. It's a modern blade, based on ancient design, made in El Salvador, by someone who knows what they're doing. That collaboration adds to its cool factor. If you're a collector, an outdoorsy type, or just a fan of things like this; it is worth the asking price.I would like to see this sold as a blank so you can add your own handles and put your own twist on things, but you can definitely do any task one would expect of a knife of this size as is right out of the box.Happy customer.Enjoy.

Beautiful knife; "Meh" sheath
The knife is gorgeous. I flint knap on occasion and that interest has always made me a sucker for flint finishes. The wire wrapping is also well done and pleasing. The scandi grind took some adjustment. I'd never used one and was slightly surprised by the cutting resistance of the steep single bevel. It's not a lot, but enough that on other knives I'd be touching up the edge. Once I get past the grind, however, it zipps right on through whatever I'm cutting, so no complaints here!My one complain is that the sheath loop feels a little cheap. I've never been a fan of swinging sheaths, and the few I do own have stiff leather loops with brass connections. This is flimsy. I adjusted it to my preferences by folding the loop down and wrapping the included lanyard through the loop and around the swell of the sheath. It looks kinda strange from the back but not bad from the front, and it makes the knife way easier to carry and draw.

sharp; well made; comfortable grip
I was very pleased when I unpacked it. This is a very well made and solid knife. It comes sharp, and the sheath ambidextrous (doesn't matter which direction the blad is facing when putting it in).It is a great work knife--the design looks like it might be a decorative knife, but that is absolutely not the case.Things to consider:The rounded handle is very comfortable, but it will be a little less firm to hold if you're doing a lot twisting of the blade. I'm not sure what would require a lot twisting back and forth, but it's something to consider. Finally, the thin leather strip that would attach the sheath to a belt does not inspire confidence. I would rig a different option if I were going to carry it on my belt all day.

The knife is awesome the sheath it comes with
I liked how sharp it came and how long the knife stays sharp. I really like the design however the only thing that needs improvement is the sheath, either instructions on how to attach to belt or one of the other sheaths should be an option.

Inner caveman smiles
Knife good! Caveman happy! Many grunts of joy! This is a usable knife and a very cool looking usable knife. If your inner caveman isn’t smiling then you probably want something else.

Returned. Defective edge.
Had this knife on my list for awhile, saw a price drop and decided to purchase. As soon as I opened the box I had a bad feeling. Inside the shipping box, the Condor branded box the knife came in was taped shut with box tape. I opened and inside the plastic around the knife had already clearly been opened. The tape was folded over and had debris stuck too it. It wasn't even holding the plastic shut. Ok. Fine. I can deal with that. Maybe someone bought it and just didn't like it. So I take out the knife and almost immediately it is obvious why this knife was returned. There is a large and very noticeable defect in the bevel of the blade. Whoever sharpened this really did a terrible job. I boxed it back up and sent it back. What is most frustrating is this was sold as a "new" knife. When it clearly was not. The last couple Condor knifes I have bought have been hit and miss on the quality control.

Beautiful and deadly.
Very beautiful knife, feels great, comes sharp, ready for scalping enemies. (Make sure to buy some knife oil to keep it from rusting)
