The media could not be loaded. I love it. great book. It is jam packed full of information and beautiful images. I would really recommend this book for anybody who is interested in history and who is learning about the ancient Greeks or who is interested in the ancient Greeks.

This is a great overview of the whole classical era in Greece. It deals with the main historical events in a chronological fashion and then focuses on issues and aspects of daily life, mythology and culture. It is expertly written and is fantastically well illustrated with evocative site photographs, drawings and beautiful artefacts. The book itself is a really attractive item. Thoroughly recommended.

Well written and well illustrated. Its structure is more that of a reference book, than a history, but it can still be read as such. This is for adults, rather than sub-teen children. A useful book in any home library.

Great quality finish, pictures and very well written. A mine of information. I've also bought the "Roman" equivalent, and itlooks to be similar quality.
