Not reliable, Caused lots of anxiety
I got this for my pond. It seemed to work well for a few days. Temperature and Ph did not match up with my other instruments but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Yes I did properly calibrate the slide for 24 hours with pond water.I got high NH3 readings from the start but the readings seemed to respond to ammo lock and water changes.Then it spiked to .499 ppm and I panicked for days trying to save my fish by doing more frequent water changes and buying lots of expensive additives and filtration. Then I wised up and did some API tests all the readings were good and the fish seemed totally fine. Sure enough I put the Seneye unit in purified water and NH3 is still at .499! I feel swindled and extremely let down for all the anxiety this caused. I guess I have to stick with manual testing. I will be returning this right away!

Seneye worth the Mac setup’s finicky instructions.
I’ve used this system for years and it has kept my Goldfish, Shubunkin, and Koi alive. It is alittle more tricky with a Mac setup than a Window set up but I found a work around with the cabling/Wi-Fi connections.

Great product, great price, huge insight
This product is exactly what a casual aquarist needs. It monitors critical parameters of the tank and reports every half hour or so. It gives great insight on how your mini eco-system is working and all that for a fair reasonable price. Every time I feed, I see the ammonia levels rise a little and then within 12 hours they're back to normal. This gives me a great deal of information on how much and how often I should feed. All in all a great experience.

As good as it gets, even texts you if there is a problem
I can't say enough about this product, I always know exactly what is going on with my 3500 gallon Koi pond.I've had the system installed for about 3 months now, it just works perfectly.About a month ago leaves packed up in my skimmer's pre-filter net, I got a text from seneye saying the water was low (I have the Seneye unit in the back of my skimmer).This makes it so easy to always know what's going on with my pond & see trends. If you wan't to keep tabs on free ammonia you'll have to buy a slide every month at 10.00 each, but considering my fish investment it's well worth it for the peace of mind.They even have a free app for my phone so I know what's going on even when I'm out of the country.
