UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Unbelievable!!!!!*WARNING!! This will be a long and thorough review (when I say long I mean football field long, so if you dont feel like reading all this introductory info.. I have this review separated into 3 parts:The 1st part will be targeted towards black women because of our similar hair texture. The 2nd part will be towards ALL women who have damaged, atrocious, drier than the Sahara dessert hair. The 3rd part will be about the product.Feel free to skip to the third part but I highly reccommend you read the entire review as the other parts cohesively mesh together especially if you have kinkier texture..My hair has caused me so much stress and I felt like I was the only person experiencing what I was going through.. So I really hope this helps even at least one person because I have never written a review before, this is how serious it is..I tend to ramble and I have A LOT to say about my situation and this product so bear with me and let's all get beautiful hair! :)**FIRST PART:Let me start off first by giving you my background: I am a black woman with a little past shoulder length hair. From the time I was probably 10 I was getting permed every six-8 weeks. Fortunately I had an extremely smart mother who took care of my hair and let me tell you I had beautiful long (being that young and having hair past my shoulders was long back then lol.) THICK (runs in the family) hair! I remember being envious of all the non black girls or mixed girls with long pretty bouncy hair. In middle school my ma ruined my hair with hair glue and I ended up with a pretty bob cut due to my hair ripping out in the back. Then I forgot what happened but I had to get an ugly haircut and my hair ended up at my chin.. Ugh so ugly. Fast forward years later and I'm a freshman in high school and my ma (FINALLY) let me start wearing sew-ins.. At first they were half sewins for add fullness then progressed to full sewins with increasing lengths that my ma sewed in for me. She left some hair out in the top front area to make the hair blend in better so in the beginning I was still getting "edge ups" to keep the hair straight and looking blended. (Ppl who didnt know me thought it was all mine;) Probably between 6 months to a year I randomly decided to stop getting edgeups all the way and just flat ironing it. After loving the low maintainence of my weave, I decided to keep my hair in that style for about two years. Having a sew in means your hair is braided underneath. My hair was practically braided for two years so when I took down my hair in the summer after sophomore year, I couldn't figure out for the life of me WHY my hair remained curly after washing my hair in the shower. I expected it to revert back to the kinky strands I was used to when I was a child. My hair was extremely healthy again so I decided to wear my own hair from then on. Since my hair was now curly I loved my hair I told my ma I don't want perms anymore and sometimes i would wear it curly and sometime I would flat iron it. Now I had no idea that there was a natural hair trend going on and honestly I believe I went "natural" way before this trend started. Anyhow.. Life is really a bunch of lessons and so far one of the things I have learned about myself is that I am compulsive and can get obsessive easily. Oh and also extremely gullible. What does this tidbit have to do with anything...? Back then anything I learned I fell for and when I discovered the "natural" movement I started visiting some of the websites.. And then I heard the term.............NO-POO...**SECOND PART:For those who don't know, No-poo means no shampoo, a term associated with the "curly girl technique.. google it if you dont know.. Anyways so my compulsive and gullible mind decided to try this method and my obsessive mind went researching to find cheap, natural shampoo and conditioner. I thought the cheaper, natural'er', less ingredients'ish'.. The better and closer to what I thought was "natural". Lo and behold I read about baking soda and apple cider vinegar.. Easy to do and spend right??.. NOOOTTT!!! So at first the bks cleansed my scalp well and even though they said it wouldn't suds my obsessive and compulsive mind told me to add more bks to the solution with exxxtra hot water to make it sudsy on my hair. It did suds up just like a sulfate 'poo would much to my surprise. Then I did the acv rinse and my hair was totally fine.. However after awhile while I kept using the bks I stopped using the acv (dumb. :| ) and started making my "own" homemade "natural" consitioner. Idek remember what I used all I know is my hair started taking a turn for the worse. I used waaaay to mych bks so I mean my compulsive mind told me to keep adding more y more y more .. (Y=&) I did not know the damage, pain, and suffering this would cause me... This all started if I can recall in late 2011.. Fast forward to Nov 9, 2013. My hair is the absolute worse. Bks absolutely ruined my hair. Curls: G O N E. Hair: DRRRYY!!! I mean no matter what I did my hair felt like a brillo pad when dry AND wet! I literally felt like I lost all hope for my hair and even contemplated shaving it all off much to my mothers utter dismay. Also I forget to mention the bks damaged my hair so bad when I used one of those hard bristle blow dry brushes on my WET hair, ALL the hair around my head broke off and the middle as well but was still longer than the edges and back. A couple months before that date I finally came to the realization of my compulsive, obsessive, and gullible tendencies and I stopped trying to be SO natural as I thought I should be. I started buying regular shampoos and conditioners again and everything. Oh by the way ladies I have tried the cherry lola treatment in an obsessive attempt to get my curls back. Mind you it has bks in it.. First try hair looked so wavy I aint know whose hair was on my head! 2nd try, yes thats right, my hair turned SO hard.. Ugh I was done.. Returning to my previous rant, while on the hunt for that "cure" to get my curls and hair in general back to the way it looks on my drivers license (sigh) I eventually came across this product on amazon. Mind you I probably have spent HUNDREDS of wasted $$$ based upon my compulsive thinking so lately I have been skepticl of myself and trying to be more mindful like when I meditate. Whew this is long..**THIRD PARTSo Nov 10. 2013 I had my mom help me with applying the product because I wanted to make sure the protein treatment was applied well. I followed the directions by first shampoo with a sulfate shampoo to make sure my hair was really clean as I hadn't washed it in two months from being braided. Then I knew added the protein treatment to 4 packets of ors deep replenshing pack, olive oil, and aloe vera. It says to add 1/2 -1 cap full but I KNOW how damaged my hair was so I used 1 3/4 cap full. My mom applied by sectioning hair into four sections and working through each. Left it on with plastic bag under dryer for 20 minutes. After rinsing it out my mom said it was way softer and and she could run her fingers through it it was so detangled. I went to look in the mirror and while baby soft to the touch, it still looked kinky and cottony. I read the pamphlet and it said results can really be seen after several applications. So I had a hair appointment to get my hair braided 11.20 so I did another treatment before to make sure my hair had a boost to be braided for three months. This time I used tressemme smooth and silky conditioner with only honey. Before this, after damaging my hair with bks honey made my hair dry and it just didnt like it anymore for some reason. However this time it was fabulous. Ladies, while applying my curls popped back probably 80%!!! I still have some permed ends so I know that affects my natural hair as well and also it was still really frizzy but I had my curls back so I didn't care!!! My hair is really thick and coupled with the extreme frizziness it makes my hair really poofy. I think if I can tame the friziness my hair would be back to normal but that will take some time so I'll be patient with that aspect. Anyways I am super excited about this product will absolutely buy it again and probably continue for the rest of my life! I recommend it to everyone but heed my advice if your hair isn't as damaged as mine use the directed amount because it's extremely potent! When I get my hair rebraided in three months I will be doing another treatment! This has been a godsend. (Sigh) sometimes the perks of being a woman is really stressful. But I still love it ;)TIPS:DO NOT USE BAKING SODA IN YOUR HAIR NEVER EVER NEVER EVER EVVVVERRR!!!I have since then researching and learned that our hair has a low acidic pH level and that bks has a high 9 pH level! This opened my cuticles and why its so frizzy! You guys pH balanced products are really important you can research about it .DO NOT follow a technique of someone elses or try a product without doing your own research and waiting to make a big decision regarding your person.Continued use of this product will definitely give you the beautiful, healthy, lustrous hair all women want ;)I know this was extremely long and some of the details weren't necessary. But I just wanna tell my story and experience so if anyone is going through ANYTHING similar will at least have the knowledge that they are not alone and that it does get better !! :)

Amazing!
First of all, please be aware that if your hair doesn't *need* protein, adding protein probably won't help and may even make it brittle. Perhaps that should go without saying, but not everyone knows that *too much* protein gives hair a brittle consistency. My take on this product: I had severe chemical damage to my hair, it was very porous and was obviously lacking protein (stretchy, "gummy") and WOW...I could not believe the results I got from Babyface. My hair after one treatment is stronger, very shiny and very, very soft.My story: I hadn't chemically colored my hair in years, but in a fit of midlife crisis I decided I wanted to go blonde one last time (I was chemically blonde years ago) so I started trying to remove my hendigo (henna plus indigo), which had given my hair a dark brown to blackish color.I tried everything. A few products, such as color removers, worked, to an extent. I also tried Vitamin C treatments, which also worked, a little, but I definitely wasn't light enough to color a blonde over it.So then...yes, I bleached. My hair was literally pulling off into my fingers in chemically sawed-off chunks. It was a nightmare. I had to cut eight inches off it, taking me above shoulder. I also cut in more layers as that "sawed off" look went all throughout my length. My hair improved but I know it was still breaking off because although I was getting roots (I had to re-henna just to get some strength back into my hair), I was not gaining length. So I tried a couple of different protein treatments over the course of a month or two, and then I heard about Babyface on a forum. So I tried it and as I stated above, I am thrilled.*If* your hair needs protein, especially if your hair is porous and weak due to chemical treatments, I would definitely recommend this product.
