I am critical and I am very impressed with the quality at this price
My usual go-to outdoor pants an are usually TNF, 5.11 Tactical and recently Uniqlo(which are very similar in quality and price). Since I am in a winter climate mode I needed to add more to my wardrobe. I’ve seen these on Ali Express and the like and have been very curious about the quality and value. Must I say that I am very pleased with the quality and value of these. Not only did I receive these in quick manner but they were delivered straight to my door and onto my body immediately without even washing them first. Is that a bad thing? I don’t really think so but some hygiene experts may frown on my dastardly behavior.Day 3 of wearing without washing(I am not really a stinky guy) have proven these to be very comfortable and warm in 30F deg temps. No signs of rash or any unusual irritations from the straight-to-wear tactic. I’ve worn them doing work in the garage, riding the E-bike and waking the dog in light rain with zero complaints. They seem to be rugged and well made.SHELL and LINING:Outer shell is a type of polyester and is water repellent at least and durable. The knees seem to be a rip-stop nylon and confidence inspiring if I hit the deck on my bike or kneeling while doing work in the yard or garage. The fleece lining is very comfortable’ and warm using with boxer briefs and athletic socks. I haven’t used them with base layer pants but until it gets to single digit F temps, they may not be necessary.FIT:I am 5’9” 160lbs and have a 31” inseam. They fit almost perfectly and very much like pants I’ve bought before. The fit is expected as a MEDIUM and slightly long in the legs(again as expected). I just roll the waist a bit for the ideal length. I don’t even use the included belt yet. The legs are straight and slightly tapered and look pretty rad with my Nikes or boots either way. Waist of myself is 32” and perfect. Ive seen some comments about the drop crotch but when I roll the waist or not, I haven’t had a problem. They fit like any other MD or 32” Waisted pants.FEATURES:The pockets are standard issue. Two zippered fleece-lined hip pockets and a rear butt pocket hold my iPhone 14Pro with no issue. The zippered thigh pocket is small but perfect for your “medicinal” needs. It don’t need to be any larger, if it were you would over stuff it and make walking weird.I will be looking forward to regular use of these and may even purchase additional colors to match my moods.OVERALL:8.5/10Benboy, you done good!

VERY COMFORTABLE. Beautiful. Great quality
Ok, I bought these when they were on sale and put them up for a year for our teenager. When he received them he instantly fell “in love”. They’ve worked very well through the snow. But these are so comfy (according to him) he sometimes sleeps in them. These are Not just snow pants. They have held up wonderfully through many washes, several snows, and outdoor play Apparently they’re worth more than I paid for them. I’d say buy these, and when they’re outgrown, but more. lol.

A year in, great pants for fat biking, with one small caveat
I have used these for two winters now (2022 and so far 2023) in northern Vermont for fat biking. I ride two to three days a week in these for 65 - 75 minutes each time in serious winter weather. Sometimes, they're warm enough by themselves (generally 30'F+), and sometimes I'll layer up below them (down to 0'F to -10'F, which is when I call it quits). When I bought these I was worried this kind of use was going to blow out the crotch seam (they have a low rise), but no issue there. Last week, the front zipper split, and I'll need to replace it with a new one or maybe velcro. They're not YKK, but at this price point, that's a little of what you get. Otherwise, the finish work, materials, and build are really top notch and compete exceptionally well with the name-brand clothes I use that cost three or four times as much. Also, these fit true to size, but they are a little close fitting in the legs, which is fantastic for biking. They're not tights at all, but they don't have any bagginess that's going to get caught on a bike seat or in a chainring. I didn't give them five stars because of the unnecessarily low rise in the crotch and the failed zipper. But really, for what you pay, these actually deserve six stars. Heads-up: no ankle zippers on this model. I just bought a similar pair from another seller, and they are similarly a great build, but not snug in the legs in the way the BenBoys are, making me want to get another pair of BenBoys. If you ride fat bikes, go for these.

Great pants kept warm on below zero degrees Yukon trip!
Took these to trial in Whitehorse Yukon and temps got to under -10C easy at night time. My arrangement was underwear/base layer/leggings, then another pant layer, then these. I was able to survive no problem. The snow did not get into my boots either. I did not sit on snow for long periods of time but anytime these pants touched the snow I had no issues. Also they are quite comfortable so I wore them everyday on my recent trip. The pockets all have zippers so nothing falls out. I was not affected by wind chills or anything else.I got a L short. I'm M, around 5' 7-8"ish and I'd say the length fits well even for my shorter legs with my belly these last few months I can wear up to 32-34" waist so if you around this size I'd go for the same. Will definitely take on future snow related trips. Great pants for the price!

Pant legs too narrow to fit over ski boots
Legs too narrow to be ski pants & not windproof. I felt light wind on lift bc it lacks tech to insulate (ie Columbia’s tech trap & reflects body heat). The pros: cheap, not bulky/look nice, zippers are quality & small fits me (I wear size 30W/30L).I DIY widened legs w/table vice. I put a towel on top of vice (to protect fabric), put pant legs (1 inside the other) on vice & opened vice til snug then opened vice 1/4 turn/day for 2wks. Pants now fit (very snugly) over boots.
