After decades of using Paul Mitchel products, I decided it was time to try something new, and a product especially formulated for white/grey hair. Naturally my search began with the familiar names such as Aveda, Redken, and Joico, and somehow I came across BGB Purple Conditioner.After looking at the ingredients, and not finding anything horrifying, along with the good reviews about the product I decided to give it a try. After all, it was risk-free (returnable) and offered a bonus of a free bottle if I liked it.GBG requires several applications before seeing the great results. GBG Purple Conditioner has made my very long white hair easy to comb through tangles and feel so smooth and silky.Very pleased, and glad I took the chance on a brand I've never heard of.

This conditioner is a bright, deep purple color. The consistency is thick and almost gel-like. The first time I used the conditioner I left it on for 3 minutes. It didn't seem to do much. The second time I decided I'd leave the product on for 20 minutes. My hair is white with some grey and has a very light beige-blonde toner over it. When I applied the conditioner my white roots were purple. I was a bit anxious; I don't want purple hair. I ended up leaving the conditioner on for 17 minutes, rinsed it out, and no purple cast, at all! My beige-blonde is brighter and enhanced; my whiter roots are a lovely blonde tone. With regard to conditioning, GBG is not super-conditioning, which is kind-of good because my hair isn't left flat. I do have to use a leave-in conditioner. I'm pleased with this product and would purchase it again. (Note: I have NOT received any rewards, etc. for my review.)

It takes the yellow tone from my highlighted hair, but I have to use a lot of the product.The hair is still tangled but with leave in treatment I could reach the results I want. The color is not brassy and hair is soft and silky after blow drying.

Some have spoken about the product turning their skin at the hairline purple, but I have not had that issue at all. I love this product to help maintain the expensive blonde coloring at the stylist. He puts two different toners in to help the glow of the dye job and this shampoo and conditioner have done an amazing job of maintaining his work even has my natural hair color (brown) started growing in. I was able to maintain the tone and brilliance of the original dye job for about 6 weeks until the next time I saw him. He put fresh toner in and this shampoo and conditioner continue to work hard!The only con: the conditioner (and shampoo) works for maintaining the coloring as promised, but it does not soften you hair at all, and neither does the shampoo. I don't really have a problem with this because you can always follow up with a second conditioning with conditioner that won't mess with the coloring but provides the softness you would expect out of conditioner. Just don't use a conditioner that will interact with this product.Great product overall.1st picture: 1 week after original cut and dye. Finally! I've been waiting for a purple conditioner from Get Back Gorgeous and this one does not disappoint! It rinses cleanly and leaves my hair brighter, soft and silky. Since using the shampoo and conditioner combo, my highlights are clear and bright, my hair is more manageable and the overall condition of my hair is improving. It seems like the dry time is a little quicker too. Overall, an excellent product.

I have been using the purple conditioner during the pandemic after highlighting my own hair. I typically have my hair colored at a salon, but of course during the pandemic we cannot do that. I like how my self-color turned out but I was worried it was a bit brassy. This purple conditioner really mellowed the brassiness. I am now going to switch to use it every other day because I don't want to overdo it. That has not happened but I can almost see how it could if you used it every day after the initial 10 day period. It has also really improved the condition of my hair, specifically frizz. I do comb it through, which I find helps quite a bit with the conditioning effect.

This product is really amazing! The smell is heavently. The product has a rich color and really does the job. I have been using purple products for a long time and this product is hands down the best. It keeps your hair smooth and removes all the rusty color! Believe me, it is super high quality.

I purchased this product to tone out the brassiness from a balayage I had ~2 months ago. My hair is a medium brown and what was a bright blonde faded into yellow/brassy tones over several weeks later. I haven’t used purple conditioner before nor do I have experience with blonde hair so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t see much improvement after the first conditioning rinse but after the 2nd and definitely after the 3rd was where I saw much brighter, blonder hair (closer to what I had when my hair had first been treated). I do think it is somewhat drying so I have been using some leave in afterwards to tame the flyaways and moisturize but overall this product does what is intended and I do recommended it. Some of the comments remarked on the smell but I didn’t notice a smell in my hair after it was rinsed, dried, and styled.
