Professional Piano Teaching, Vol 2: A Comprehensive Piano Pedagogy Textbook Paperback – February 1, 2015

The information is very useful, informative and clear to understand. I love the activities at the end of each chapter.

This book contains a lot of very useful information and is laid out in a logical manner that is easy to read and comprehend. Some of the wording is not preferable (for instance, "rotating" the arm, as this makes the student think of forcing their hand sideways in an unnatural and tense manner). A lot of what is learned in the book is more of an overview and does not necessarily cover topics in great detail. In my opinion, the book is extremely helpful for reference, and also for clarifying many topics. It covers most of the issues students of the intermediate level would encounter and I will definitely reference this book.

If you are a piano teacher, you need this book! (And also Volume 1.) It does a fantastic job of covering many different, diverse topics related to teaching, including quick teaching tips for problems that you might encounter. I've learned so much from reading this.
