I can’t believe how useful this pre is. I’ve got 20+ other pre channels (neve, manley, avalon etc) and this instantly became the studio workhorse. When I want a good sound fast, i plug into this.You get a usable warm tone on any decent mic and instrument/amp. 3 simple binary controls give you and handful of distinct coloring options — all have been useful at some point. Simple and fast just like a reliable 57 mic. Really well made and user friendly too with mic and instrument inputs on the front of the unit.I almost didn’t buy it because the price is so low relative to all other pro audio pre’s I wondered if it would make even a good 24th channel. Now I think lead vox/kick/snare are the only places i might not try it first.

I think this is an excellent Preampoption in an API 312/512 format with a lot more features than most Preamps by far. It has made a significant difference in my Vocals, and works great for everything else. Warm Audio has a great reputation.
