The best line I've used for ice fishing
This review is only within the context of Ice Fishing for game fish - I have been using this line for ~15 years. The previous standard for line was the black nylon (possibly braided) that had been around for years. It always had a "memory" where it wanted to remain coiled. But, on an extremely cold day, it froze into loops after being taken out of the water. I decided to look for something better. As I recall, Power Pro was a relatively new product on the market. And, 50 pound test was the strongest available. The color, mossy-green, made total sense to me. I replaced the line on all of my tip-ups, and started catching more fish. It was relaxed when it came off of the spool. It didn't freeze in the air after being wet. It had a little flex to it, when getting a big bite, and didn't snap. It stood-up well to the abrasion from the edges of the hole in the ice, when landing a fish. It is much thinner, with greater strength. All of that was not lost on my best friend. He showed-up next season with the same line on all of his tip-ups. ***This is important - do not ever grab the line with your bare hands, when there is a fish on*** The small diameter of the line, and possible resistance from a good size fish, will cause the line to cut into your skin like a razor. It happened to my best friend. This is not an exaggeration. That being said, I still give 5 stars. Wear some gloves, and catch more fish!

I know about Power Pro.
I live in Central Florida, we need Power Pro in most circumstances. It's a great line, but the stock but this stock is old. It's still a decent deal for the price. I used it in some extreme situations around here. It disappointed me a couple of times, but it held up good a couple of others. No matter what kind of line do you use you can get your butt kicked around here.

Great for casting
I use a light weight set up for perch and I can really cast a mile using this 5 lb braid.

Great stuff
This line is hard to find locally so I ordered it on here. It came quick and the braid has a nice almost waxed feel to it. It runs great in my shimano reel and was even able to take it to a smaller pond with <1 pound fish and have tons of hits on pickerell. The thicker line doesnt seem to scare the fish off.
