Great quality lead solder
It works great for electronics soldering. I got non-lead solder before this, and it took way too long to melt, and it also corroded my soldering iron's tips. There are obvious health risks with lead, but in reality the rosin flux core inside of most solder is probably worse than the lead.It is 0.8 mm, which is perfect for electronics work, because it is always easier to add more than to take some off. It doesn't look like a lot, but trust me, unless you solder for a living, one pound will last you for a very long time.

It's not you, it's the other SOLDER!
I have been trying to build racing drones now for about 6 months and I though my soldering skilled sucked. Well they don't, my previous choice of solder did. After receiving this solder my first two solder joints came out perfect, and with that "Professional" shine we all have been trying to get.Spend the money on good solder and you will be much happier. Thank you solder fairy for such a nice product.

4 years going strong...
Love this solder!I bought this back in 2011. I still have almost .98lbs of it left!!This will last me an entire lifetime honestly. If I have kids they will have this to use as well..lolThis flows very nicely, is a small diameter and most of all easy to work with. I like this size the most because the bigger solder wire is sometimes harder to work with and too big to get into smaller spots when soldering.

SUPER SOLDER WORKS! (perfect for mobos!)
The new "LEAD FREE SOLDER" basically bites. You cannot effectively use it on (new) motherboards. It either rolls right off where you want the solder to adhere, or it takes way too much heat and time to heat to a melting point. So, thank the good Lord that some folks still stock regular ("LEADED")solder! I will definitely be buying more regular solder that isn't "lead free." I got mine from the folks listed here, but you can get it a lot of places on the internet. If you goto your local hardware store and/or even Wallyworld, they may or may not know how to help you out. I find it best to utilize the internet for finding out where to buy stuff online, or who might keep it on the shelves in town.I can deal with a label or even a stamp warning about dangers involving "lead", (that's in the solder) but they are taking it out of solder, and thats making my job a real challenge. The new kind of solder does NOT work well motherboards. You can take that to the bank. My advice to anyone that works in the industry to get the regular "leaded" type of solder--and stock up on it in case it becomes "UNAVAILABLE" to us!So, stock up on the "old school" solder if you expect to be working on any motherboards and/or other computer devices which might require solder!

I bought this solder
because it is cheap. It doesn't flow nor tinned like Kester 63/37 solder. I put in the box to use when I need to solder with 200W heat gun.

Good value and works great
I used this solder to replace blown capacitors on my G5 Imac logic board. The solder worked great! I found a couple of cold solder joints in my work (out of 25 installed capacitors) but I attribute this to being a newbie at electronics soldering and a relatively cool solder iron. (50 watt) These were repaired on a second go, however. The solder flowed well and held the capacitor leads fast. It also soaks extremely well into Techspray de-solder wick, if you have to re-do any work. My electronics repair project was successful thanks in part to this solder. I recommend!
