Support for my foot that allows it to heal ...
I had a serious foot sprain, and after a year of intense pain, I'd decided I would have it for life. After just a day of wearing this sleeve, I could again walk with minimal pain, and it gets better every day. It seems to provide the support that is allowing my foot to heal. It's like wearing a cast without the bulk. With this sleeve, I can use cardio machines at the gym and can take long walks again.* No squeezing -- Whoever designed this compression sleeve must be brilliant. The sleeve is designed so that the compression forces are not just inward; they are at angles that make the bones of your foot stay securely in place without cutting off the blood flow and without squeezing your foot. I'm just completely impressed with it.* Not bulky -- I wear a sock on top of it, and it still fits easily in my shoe. Not an issue at all.* Nighttime -- It's comfortable enough to wear at night, and I've worn it a few times, but I usually take it off.* Swimming -- I swim laps a few days a week, so I bought an extra one. I've been wearing it in the pool for about a month, and it's held up with no problem at all. I just rinse it afterwards.

Two normal-size feet for the first time in months--but put on carefully to avoid ripping heels
This is my second update. First I gave it 5 stars, but then when the heel showed signs of ripping, I took off 2 stars. But now I am putting back a star because I think these are better than the other product I tried, Plantar Fasciitis Foot Compression Sleeves, which I had to return; although they seemed to be better made, with a smoother material, they irritated my skin terribly and were so tight at the top that my toes went numb. So now I am ordering another pair of these (I am still using the first), only now I will put them on more carefully so as not to rip the heels..Here is what I initially wrote: My feet and ankles have been swollen, probably from too much sitting at the desk. Also I injured one foot with a bad bruise and even more swelling and soreness. I spent a long time looking for the right product. I wasn't expecting much from these. I wear a size 7.5 shoe and got the Medium. I waiting till the morning to try them on, figuring that my feet might be less swollen then. At first they seemed tight but then I was able to easily pull them on over my heel because of the way they are constructed, with stretchy areas. It took a little getting used to but I've been wearing them for 7 hours now. I took them off to take a shower (after having them on about 3 hours) and for the first time in months I looked down at 2 normal sized feet. I was very happy about that, and they also relieve the discomfort of stretched skin that comes with the swelling as well as a feeling of support and an easing of the pain. Now it's just a question of seeing how long they last with wear and washings.

Great for Sprained Ankle and Plantar Fasciitis
My dad sprained his ankle pretty bad. This aided in his recovery. He said it's great. He wears Men's size 7 and got a medium sleeve.I used this for my Plantar Fasciitis. It works well but sometimes I need to add the Pedifix Arch Bandage (bought from amazon as well) to get extra support and compression on the arch area. This has more compression strength in the ankle area and very light compression strength in the arch area. I wear Women's 5.5 and got a small sleeve. Fits okay but if they had a XS, I would've gone with that.

Difficult to tell if this is working for me
I've had plantar fasciitis for two decades and never had too much an issue with it until recently when it really started to bother me. So much so that it was painful to walk. I tried this sleeve for a couple of weeks. I guess it helped a little. I say 'I guess' because, for me, it seemed like sometimes it helped and other times it did nothing but make my foot swell. I did the 'exercises' recommended for plantar fasciitis and that seemed to help me more than this sleeve. It's been more than a week now that I haven't been wearing this sleeve and my foot feels much better.

Good alternative to steroid shots.
As soon as I put this on my foot and wore it for a couple of hours, I felt instant relief. I have had plantar fasciitis for several years. It moves from one foot to the other. I have done countless steroid shots in both of my feet. Talk about a very painful experience. After this last shot I have decided not to get them again due to the pain. which I get is my own fault, I wait until I just cant stand the pain in my foot and then go which makes the shot 10 times worse. I have tried stretching, icing it, you name it I have tried it. Ran across this and the reviews were great, so I thought I would give it a shot for as cheap as it was. I love the sock, it is light weight enough to wear under your sock and with a shoe one. Can be worn at night without any issues. I take it off only to shower and to wash the sock if necessary (hand wash only-my recommendation). But I have started to notice I have pain in other areas of my foot, I am not sure if the sock is too small or if the compression is too much in certain areas. But the sock itself is well worth the money spent in fees to the Dr's office and steroid shots. Give it a try, cant hurt for that price.
