Yes! Double kick is the way to go and you can't beat the quality and dependability of pearl hardware
Game changer! This Pearl double kick is great. It allows your left foot to join the band. I feel it has improved my skill level more than 65%. I've always felt my left foot was more rhythmically accurate than my right, and having just the right foot trapped at the base felt confining and awkward. I now feel like I am balanced with the same pressure on my right foot as there is on the left. I can play for much longer periods of time, with no discomfort and soreness afterwards, not to mention the monumental difference of being able to syncopate rhythms with two feet instead of one. Thanks Sweetwater and Pearl for depndable hardware and fair pricing

Good Pedal at a Good Price
I have owned several double pedals over the past several years (DW, Pearl, PDP, Gibraltar) but never had bought one brand new (buying drum gear is like buying cars, used stuff is totally functional and the only reason you buy new is because no one else has touched it but you). However, I bought this because Pearl is/was doing a $50 rebate promotion for double pedals so I figured it was a good time to try out a new one. For the price, this is an excellent pedal. Several adjustment options (very easy to do) make this pedal versatile. I have owned a DW9002 and lets be serious, this pedal is not the same thing. But it isn't intended to be. If you want a DW9000 series pedal, you have to go buy a DW9000 series pedal. Don't buy a cheap one and condemn it for not being a professional-grade piece of gear. That's like buying a Ford and saying it is a piece of garbage because it isn't a Ferrari. As with everything, you get what you pay for.So, at this price point, I think the pedal is a great buy. Smooth, adjustable, the beaters are a nice weight, and it seems to be very high quality construction. I also like the look of it (though that is low on my priority list). I don't play metal so I'm not sure how it goes for you super speed demons (who always seem to complain about any pedal that isn't an Iron Cobra) but for casual use in fills or those extra flourishes that just can't be achieved with a single pedal, I think it is great. Mine did not come with an extra set of cams, though the powershifter cams (orange ones) are the ones I wanted and they came installed on the pedal so I don't care. Shipped in 2 days (via Prime) as always and came packaged pretty well (no damage upon arrival). All in all, I would buy again, especially if Pearl does the $50 rebate promotion again in the future.

Awesome Pedal for the price!
This pedal is a great buy. The action is silky smooth. It is very fast. The longboard is superior to any pedal in this price range. The features are great. The adjustments are easy and the spring lock works great and is unique to Pearl. The pedal works perfect right out of the box with the eccentric cam in place. The action is very sensitive and aggressive. I have not tried it without the cam because it seems great with it on, but I plan on trying it without the cam extension sooner or later. It also works fine on my DM6 Alesis kick riser with the included rubber shims. No need for modifying it, works great with the included rubber add ons, They include two rubber shims and I needed both for my Alesis kick pad, but it works perfect and is a very solid connection. I highly recommend this pedal to one and all, for this price you cannot get a better pedal.

I've used it for about 3 months and I like it. It's a very light action pedal, very fast and smooth.
I've used it for about 3 weeks and I like it. It's a very light action pedal. I've never owned a set of Pearl drums, but I've had several different pedals and this is my favorite so far. I wish it had a toe stop though. After using the pedal for a few months the pedal is still great, the only issue I've had is that the pedal will not clamp down on the bass hoop tight enough, so it tends to move. The easy fix was to take off the rubber backing from the underside of the pedal base and to apply several strips of velcro there. Buy the cheap velcro packs at any dept store with an adhesive backing. The prickly side of the velcro keeps the pedal and the bass drum from moving (assuming you use a rug).

Was a great pedal out of the box
Was a great pedal out of the box. However, after taking the eccentric cam pieces out, adjusting the springs, and beater angles it seems to play much better. Taking these out essentially increases speed and decreases the amount of foot action. This also prevents the pedals from sliding forward as they are now more lower to the ground. Couple things they could of done better would be to have a wider bottom hinge to decrease side to side play in the pedal (there's not as much as I may be making it seem), also the one drive shaft end is a little too tight as the other one spins freely when you disconnect the left pedal. I don't know if they done this on purpose in comparison to the demon drive, or if it is a minor flaw. This is not noticeable in the left pedal when playing that I can tell however, so I can't talk too bad about it. Very good build quality, and the only way this pedal will ever give you problems after many many years is if your an idiot. I've had an axis short board before and it really is a close call of which one I like better to play on. Hands down the pearl has much better build durability, and a much cheaper price. Very light and solid pedal. Has all the adjustments I need, and I don't prefer any more than what this one has, other wise I spend the rest of my life adjusting them other pedals and still never find a damn setting. I really like the smooth foot board feel and look. This really is a great pedal. Adjust this pedal to how you feel best, and work on your BPM's. If you can't get them up with this pedal then it's probably you and not the pedal.

Smooth kick!
I converted from a more expensive pedal that (DW 5000) because it was too hard to play it fast. This pedal is much easier to play fast with. Definitely a good buy for the price.
