Solidly Built
Update: See video. All better!!You can see my video for my full review. In short: This is an incredibly heavy, incredibly durable machine. It’s going to be a fantastic press: Once it works. :-(Out of the box, there was a small metal tab missing from the crankshaft that allows the bearing to turn and press the plate down. But since that bearing is not there, the entire plate comes down lopsided and at an angle. You can see it missing in my video. No instructions, which is fine. It’s simple enough to figure out how to assemble it. The screws are on there tight but you can loosen them with some elbow grease. It comes with a wrench that works for the screws. It also comes with a white press mat so you don’t damage your dies.Planning to contact the seller about the missing part. Will keep this updated.

Great for a boat anchor and not much else
I really, really wanted this purchase to work out. But there are no instructions on it so you end up trying to find help online without much luck. I regret to say that the VEVOR Leather Cutting Machine 360x220mm Manual Die Cutter is not a product that I can recommend. While it may seem like an affordable and effective option for cutting leather and other materials, my experience with the machine was less than satisfactory.Firstly, the machine requires a significant amount of physical effort to operate. It is not motorized, which means that the user must manually push down on a lever to cut through the material. This can be tiring and time-consuming, particularly if you need to cut a large number of pieces. In addition to the physical effort required, the machine's cutting blades are not very sharp. This makes it difficult to cut through thicker materials, and can result in uneven cuts that require additional trimming or sanding.Another issue I encountered was that the machine's construction is not very sturdy. The base is made of lightweight materials that feel flimsy and unstable. This can make it difficult to maintain a consistent cutting pressure, which can result in uneven cuts or damage to the machine itself.

Heavy Duty
When this arrived it was much heavier than anticipated. We tried to adjust the platen to be level and had to raise the platen and tighten the allen screw on the bottom where the threads run through. Once that was done we were able to adjust the height of the platen and it works beautifully. Lowering the handle and pressing with the clicker dies is so ease and I do not have to exert a lot of pressure. It really does make the noise that is almost a click. Wish it came with assembly instructions however, we were able to figure it out rather quickly. I would buy this machine again if I needed one. This machine will be here from now on.Thank you for a great product.

Can't beat it for the price
Easy set up and ready to use at a reasonable price. Would be silly to compare to the real press that are over $1,000.00 as it's not in the same league, but you have to expect that for the cost. Changing heights for different die's is a bit more work than a simple turn of a knob, the handle is shorter than other machines, but for the cost, again hard to beat.

Some assembly and tools definitely required
The press arrived in an undamaged wooden packing crate. It requires a hammer to pry up the little metal tabs. Once done, the lid of the crate opens easily. Inside the crate everything is in a heavy plastic bag that is zip tied shut. You will need something to cut with to extract it. Word of caution, the bag is not strong enough to lift the press out of the crate by, or at least mine wasn’t, I noticed there was a tear in the plastic by the bottom and lifted it out by gripping the cross bar. Definitely very heavy. The handle and hardware came in a cardboard box, a change from other reviewers comments. I guess people were overlooking the handle before. No problem noticing it now. First thing I notice right of the bat after taking it out of the plastic is that the cam bearing on the left side is completely out of place. You need a pry bar or a thick/strong enough flat tip screw driver to pry against the cross shaft and the spring receiver to allow enough space to slide the cam back over the woodruff key and into the spring receiver slot. Now for the next part…. The top plate is not attached. I don’t know why it’s not attached, they easily could have attached it for you and I don’t think it could be damaged in any way during transport if it was attached. So I get the bolts and the Allen wrench out of the bag and immediately notice that the Allen wrench is about 2 sizes too small and there is no other one included. So a big fail on this part. For the cam issue and the Allen wrench issue, I am going to knock off 1 star. I’m taking another star off because its not capable of distributing the pressure evenly across the head. You have to basically put your die perfectly under the middle of the plate to get it to cut correctly or you have to ensure that you are literally burying your die every time to ensure it cuts on the first attempt. It seems that the reason is that the head flexes just enough as it comes down that depending on the size of the die, it makes contact at a certain point and that’s where the pressure goes. I made sure to make everything level, everything tightened down snug and the front to back wiggle seems to be the cause.

Wow. It’s huge and heavy
3/23 update, after only using it for two months the side arm came off. I have taken. It apart and put the arm back on, but it doesn’t fit back the way it came and the arm continues to come off. Very disappointed. It arrived in a huge nice wood create and I didn’t realize it would be this big and heavy. This press is heavy duty. I’m impressed, will just need somebody to help me move it.

This machine was intact and complete
I received this machine. I was hesitant about the purchase as I read many didn't have a good experience. I almost didn't either as the way that it is packed might induce you to miss the handle and cutting board. They are on the bottom of the crate. After unpacking I almost threw them away with the wooden crate it was packed in. After a better search I found the missing pieces. It works great.
