don’t be frightened by the difficulty!!
as a huge disney fan, i ordered this set without any of the other villainous sets. i had read reviews saying that it is complicated, and don’t get me wrong, it really is - but please don’t get out off, as after a few games it is so enjoyable. i am the only disney fan in my household, and still everyone is raving. the best but i’ve made in ages!! am already planning to get the Evil Comes Prepared set! all i would say is take the time to fully read the instructions and villain guides . though this may deter you it is so worthwhile- every game is fun and captivating, worth the money!!

Addictive once you get your head round it
My partner and I are obsessed with this game. We got the original version as a Christmas present and promptly ordered the two expansions after one session of playing it. It’s feels like a strange concept at first and though my partner picked up how it works very quickly, I found there to be a bit of a learning curve as it is more of a card/strategy game than a traditional board game, but as you familiarise yourself with the mechanics, it becomes a fantastic combination of skill, tactics and luck to work towards your end game.I’d recommend this for anyone who has a sneaking admiration for the Disney Villains and who likes a tactical challenge. It would be a tricky one for young children to pick up I imagine but for early teens and older, absolutely fine. The game itself is well made, as anyone who buys Ravensburger products will know to expect, and the attention to details all throughout (from the game pieces to the names of the cards) are sure to bring a smile to any Disney fan’s face.If you’re interested then give it a go. But I warn you, it’s VERY addictive!

Good set of additional characters
Great addition of characters to the original game although some are pretty tough to complete if others are conspiring against you.

Great game but really difficult
Bought for my 11 year olds birthday because he loves the villains and board games but it’s not age appropriate at all. It is far too complicated, even us adults found it hard to get our heads around! Great game though if you have the patience to work things out!

So entertaining
One of my favourite games since I discovered it a few months ago. I started buying only one expansion, but now I've ended with the base game and all the expansions but one (which I plan to buy in a near future). Seems complex at first, but once you learn how to play it's really funny and the fact that every time you play is different it's a plus. Very recommended!

Fantastic expansion but not the best entry point for the series
I think that Wicked to the Core is an excellent addition to the main game, with 3 unique and exciting villains which all have a very interesting twist. I particularly enjoy Dr Facilier who is probably the most unique villain thus far (if buying expansions chronologically) and is wonderfully thematic. The Evil Queen and Hades are both great additions as well, even if I do feel that the former is perhaps too strong and the latter too weak. The art and component quality is great as always and overall I think this package is a lot of bang for your buck. The only criticism I would have is that this would be a difficult entry point for Villainous if you were buying it as a standalone due to the villains here being quite a bit more complex than most others (Dr Facilier is especially complicated). Absolutely fine if you have played the game before; but not ideal if you're new.
