Awesome fun for kids and adults!
This is a fantastic item which I purchased for my twin 5 year old granddaughters. They recently attended a birthday party where the parents used the Backyard Bass Educator as a party game. The twins loved it so much that they stayed in the backyard at the party for hours as they cast and cast and cast! I ordered the larger set for them as there are more fish to practice with. I have no doubt that in a few more weeks they will be expert casters and ready to go fishing for real! Even if you never go near a boat, this item is just so much fun to use. It is very sturdy, well-made and so easy to use. It was shipped to me very quickly as well. I would highly recommend it for children and adults alike.

Great fun for the family
Only a couple down sides, because honestly I personally love this set! Great way to teach the kids! First saw the set at a kids fishing tournament in 2023. Definitely highly recommend! Now, the downsides. The obvious one that is likely not going to change in the direction we'd all like, the price... For what they are, it's a bit steep to me. Everything is just plastic, nothing fancy. The second downside, it doesn't come with a rod and reel. Now, for this price maybe even an additional $10 or so, I would love to see at LEAST 2 cheap rod and reels in here. No push buttons though, because the point is to learn how to cast a real one, not the beginner ones. (Got 4, unfortunately left handed, rod n reels from Wal-Mart for roughly $14ea.)The kids and myself and their mom enjoyed racing to see who could catch more! Of course dad won 🏆. NO MERCY! Lol. We make a game of it, keeps it fun too.Of you like to fish and want your kids to try it out, a little practice from home to get the accuracy down and the finger control for casting, this is a great idea!

Wish Backyard Bass was around when I was young!
Excellent idea for helping kids practice casting, hooking, and reeling on dry land without fear of hooks. Our four children (11-5 years) have really enjoyed the set. Worth the extra money to buy the educator set so the kids can fish together. We have a wide open front yard, which allows them to spread out the fish and practice casting without too much danger of hitting one another. Hooking the fish can be difficult for the youngest - her lure lands on the fish but slides over the cup on the head, which prevents her from reeling in her fish. Gonna take practice. Product appears to be of good quality to last for many years - as long as the kids don't leave the fish outside overnight.

Lets Go Fishing!
Just as described. It's an excellent tool to teach anyone the technique to hook and land a fish using a fly rod. By the way, the fish float so when you hook them up in the water, they dive. It's like you're reeling in a real fish. With the younger cub scouts, they rather hook the back yard bass, then going for the real fish. When playing with The Back Yard Bass there is a lot more action and everyone catches. The most difficult thing, is taking it away from the adults so the kids can play. lol.
