Great for those who cannot swallow Zinc tablets.
Zinc really works to boost the immune system and will both prevent and lessen the symptoms of a cold. I've been taking zinc myself whenever I feel cold symptoms starting and it prevents a full on cold every time. So here is our story....We have a five year old who gets colds and sinus infections constantly. He has been to numerous doctors and pediatric specialists from ENT's to allergists, lots of blood work, immunizations, surgery, etc and he still has trouble staying healthy. He requires antibiotics at least six times per year to clear up the cold turned sinus infections. This is where the zinc comes in, but he won't take a tablet and needs the liquid. Thankfully we found this liquid zinc and have noticed a reduction in both the frequency and severity of his colds. There has been more zinc and less antibiotics. Those who have used zinc know it has a unique taste, as with this product. The product description says no added flavor, which is true, but there is still a sweet flavor due to the vegetable glycerin. There is also the classic zinc aftertaste. This isn't bad or unexpected, just understand there is a flavor to this and it isn't like taking a dropper of water.I am impressed with this product based on the proven track record of zinc to improve overall health, and personal experience with fewer and less severe colds. This liquid zinc has also helped our child improve his immunity more than a small army of doctors had been able to.

Great product to have on hand during flu season / pandemics
Full disclosure: I used a coupon in the box of my original order to sign up for a second free bottle on FireWaterStar's website, whereupon FireWaterStar asked me for a review.I've tried this product twice now, and my research and experience seem to indicate it works rather effectively. I take OptiZinc (which includes a small ratio of copper to work synergistically) from Jarrow daily in pill form, but if I felt I'd need an extra immune boost due to cold/flu symptoms coming on, I'd take a few drops of Ionic Zinc. Ionic Zinc bypasses the digestive system to hit your bloodstream immediately. For this reason it's quite a potent product and good to have on hand during flu season / pandemics (I also ordered a bottle of Ionic Selenium, which I regard just as highly - the two together should fry just about anything). Adults leave 2 dropper fulls under the tongue for approximately a minute. The glycerine sweetens the weird metallic taste of Zinc alone and makes it much easier to take.Another important plus for FireWaterStar is that it does not include sodium benzoate. Sodium benzoate, which some other companies use as a preservative, metabolizes into benzene, which is a potent carcinogen according to several online articles you can research. I'm happy to say FireWaterStar has just three ingredients: Purified Water, Organic Glycerine, and Zinc (from Sulfate). For these reasons and a reasonable price, this product earns five stars.

Really like this Zinc
My Dr. told me that I needed to take a zinc supplement (low zinc levels on my labs) so I was looking for a liquid one and I am glad I found this one. It does have a taste to it that I really don't mind at all, but I do add it to my smoothie at times too. I have already purchased this items 5 times, so I do recommend it and will continue to purchase this one from this seller. I have not had my labs repeated yet, so I am not sure how much it has changed my levels.

Incorrect dosage information
As a chemist, I did a routine calculation to double check the amount of zinc that was indicated per dose on the label. The label says to use two half-full dropper tubes or 40 drops to deliver 15 mg of pure zinc. My calculations show that 45 mg of zinc sulfate (ZnSO4), the amount that the label says would be delivered by 40 drops, are the same thing as 18 mg of pure zinc (not 15 mg). That reveals that the label's 15 mg is a 20% error. Therefore, good news to all you users of this product: You need only dispense 33 drops (per serving) of the liquid, or only one half + one third of the dropper tube. That would allow you to extend the label-indicated 30 servings to 36 servings (36 days), as well as to avoid a possible daily overdose of the zinc. [Special note: It is possible that the manufacturer actually used some unstandardized form of the zinc sulfate, for example, some unspecified hydrate of it. However, when I redid my calculations assuming that 45 mg of a hydrate were used, the only hydrate that worked had a chemical formula that did not represent its most common and well-known composition. Regardless, the result I got from my calculations suggests that the manufacturer's claim of 15 mg per adult dose is definitely not based on accurate analysis, is not accurate, and therefore, not very reliable.]

Amazing for cystic acne
Tried this liquid zinc because I wanted to clear up my skin, but I have a hard time taking pills. Best decision I've made in a long time. It has cleared up my skin considerably- I was suffering from cystic acne that topical prescription medications stopped working for. With this zinc, I no longer need a dermatologist for acne medication. I just take the zinc and use over the counter benzoyl peroxide to keep my face clear. It doesn't taste bad, but does have a strong metallic burn. I found it best to follow up with a soft food like yogurt and the taste immediately goes away (much faster than water). My stomach had to build up a tolerance to it, but is fine now.
