Held up to 17" of snow!
Update: changing review to 5 stars: yes it's a pain to set up, but for not a lot of money this thing far surpassed my expectations when my town was suddenly hit with the worst snow in decades at 17" - pic of it set up is a month after the snow hit and it looks like new. Absolutely stunned. Setup is, after I couldn't get the spikes to go into the ground, just zip tied to 2 full planters (drilled holes in some cheap plastic square planters and tied around the sides). Very impressed!Previous: I got this at a great price ($70) & you get what you pay for. I think this will last a year or two, the booklet says 10 but... I question that. I see that the price has gone up now ($150) & I would not pay that for this.Complaints: I knew it was made of plastic, but if you don't know well now you do ;) the plastic kind of bends when you put the screws in & you don't really have a choice to bend it in a little, since otherwise the parts wobble too much. So it definitely doesn't look like wood up close, but ah well not a deal breaker for me.My biggest complaint is the holes cut for the lattice to lace through were not drilled right on 3 of the beams; I had to use a drill w/plastic drill bit to cut these parts out (the angle was a good 45 degrees not 90, so this would not have worked otherwise & just cutting with a knife I think would have cracked the plastic). The instructions are... bad. If I didn't have years of ikea-assembling experience this would have been a lot worse; I put the top section of backwards & - shown in the picture - did not realize it needed to be screwed in on the sides & putting this thing together by myself, that was... frustrating. I think I spent an hour to hour & a half assembly all those little pieces & I like building stuff -- if you are not into building stuff like this, stay away! Finally, the end pieces are pretty noticeable &... seriously... came with a thing of super glue? Not expecting those to last long in the weather, but maybe I'll be surprised. Finally, this came with a lot of screws... but I used maybe half of them - I have no idea if this was an error on their part by sending too many, or if I did something wrong because the instructions give no info on this.Overall I'm satisfied because for the price I now have a decent enough looking arbor in my front yard now, but dang lots wrong with this one. Ah well my expectations were not that crazy; it is nice and tall and looks good as a decorative piece for some honeysuckle to grow on and does seem sturdy now that it's up.

Sturdy trellis for your garden
I needed some help assembling this beautiful trellis so my hubby got it going for me. It is pretty sturdy but it must be secured down or a gust of wind will blow it over. We didn’t get to secure it the first night and had some gusty winds that night that blew it over. Good news it didn’t damage the trellis! It was well made and I’m pretty happy with my garden addition!

Single woman put this together.
I just got done putting it together and up. I’m a 60 year old woman and have a hard time finding someone to help. They either want to rip me off or cut too many corners for what I pay for so I said the heck with it I can do this. I think it adds character to my garage. All you need is common sense and read the directions. I found it easier placing the matching sets together.

Worth the Effort: Dura-Trel Providence Arbor Review
I recently assembled and installed the Dura-Trel Providence Arbor, and overall, I'm pleased with the result. The instructions were clear, and with two people, we were able to complete the installation in about 2-3 hours. However, there were a few issues with the kit. I received a few extra parts, but unfortunately, two essential parts were missing. Luckily, I was able to modify the extra parts to fill in the gaps. Once assembled, the arbor feels sturdy, but it does flex slightly. One word of caution: be careful when using the self-tapping screws, as they can bind easily if overtightened. Despite these minor issues, I'm happy with the final product. With some patience and careful assembly, the Dura-Trel Providence Arbor can be a beautiful addition to any yard.

comes out great, but expect to spend some time assembling.
This came out really nice, albeit it took 2 off us over 3 hours to assemble. That includes custom modifications. The unit has a width of 72" which was the doorway, but I wanted it to be 100" to the end of the patio. I cut the 72" cross members, inserted a 2x4" in the center, and increased the width. I then ordered an extra 72" cross member to cover up the 2x4. I'll probably make some more of the top cross pieces out of 1x2 lumber and paint white. It is a little bit wobbly, I'm hoping the climbing vine will take care of that that we planted on either side to climb the arbor. It was also a little short, so we used the stakes to raise it by 8 inches.

Pergola for my orchids
I purchased this to hang my vanda orchids. They need good space to hang with their roots to get air and moisture. I did buy at Home Depot a pvc corrugated piece the length and width to give the orchids some shade so they are not directly under the sun. I wish there was a pergola like this that had that choice. This was the best choice to put together a roof top for. It looks beautiful in my garden with light shinning on it. I’ll know in time if it’s sturdy. It does feel strong as the vandas are not heavy and some I’ll stake up from the ground.

Good Arbor with awful instructions
Good quality, some design choices that I would have made differently. Fairly easy to assemble once you figure out what you are doing, but the instructions are pretty garbage. Very basic and no step by step, so be prepared to need to think about what you are doing.I assembled it myself, but suggest 2 people. It would be much easier with 2.
