DaVinci Gourmet Classic Black Cherry Syrup, 25.4 Fluid Ounces (Pack of 1)

I must admit I was skeptical when I purchased this, but have been very pleased with several different flavors. I've never seen the reason of sinking big money into a coffee drink... So when I got this product I was overwhelmed by what a little bit of syrup and my coffee did for it! Kind of took it from a cup of coffee, to an event!

I picked this up for the bar I manage when we noticed people were ordering a lot of Moscow mules. I hated the waste that came along with not using an entire can of ginger beer and our fountain drink capacity is limited. I initially looked at bottled ginger beer syrups which I found to be prohibitively expensive. I decided to give this a shot since the reviews were good as was the price. This syrup ended up exceeding my expectations. Using the suggested portioning (1 oz per 12 oz of soda water) results in a tasty and mildly spicy ginger ale. Upping the concentration (I used 1 oz per 8 oz of soda water), gives you a spicy, yet not overpowering ginger “beer”. I personally do not like most ginger beers, so I appreciated the flexibility the syrup gives you. I have had several customers ask what is different about our mules because they taste so much better than others they have had and this syrup is the answer. When you’re using it in this way, the bottle lasts a pretty long time. I have used it in recipes I have created for my bar with equally positive results. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and now we make sure we always have an extra bottle or two on hand so we don’t run out.

This stuff tastes awesome! The only thing you have to watch out for is you will go through a bottle rather fast. We got it to add to our orange flavoring for making "summertime" drinks. when you add the two flavors together, it reminds me of a "creamsicle" from when I was a young kid. It will definitely tantalize your taste buds! Just add some ice and you have one smooth drink during the heat of summer. The only drawback is these get rather addicting after you had a couple and the next thing you know, your start craving them, especially as the weather gets warmer towards summer peak, but don't let that detour you, you can wean yourself off the summertime drink in fall, when it starts getting cooler and you convert over to hot chocolate or coffee. Never hurts to have a bottle of his stuff around. Affordably priced and a good size volume. I keep some on hand all he time.

I really am loving this. It’s not overly strong, and it has a perfect lavender blend. It is a “sometimes treat,” as it is mostly sugar. I love to make the lavender cream for the top of my coffee with oat or almond milk. I wish the purple color was a bit stronger.

I was recently gifted an espresso machine so I have turned into an at home barista. I have always loved this brand and their flavors. Not to mention I feel like the amount for cost is amazing. These bottles last me so long.

I love this flavor. It tastes sort of like fruit loops. It adds sweetness, not a weird soap taste like some people imagine. It tastes good just mixed with milk or in any beverage really. Teas, lemonades, coffee, alcohol…etc

I've been making a Blood Orange vinaigrette salad dressing that's just delicious! Our family loves it on salads and also drizzled on proteins (especially chicken and shrimp).I used a blood orange infused olive oil the first several times, then tried it with regular olive oil and fresh blood orange juice. Both ways were delicious. The problem with using the blood orange olive oil, is that salad dressing is the only way I use this and it's a waste (and expensive) to keep a bottle of that in my pantry for just this one use. The problem with using fresh orange juice is that I can only make dressings in small batches because of the perishability of the fresh juice.I typically make a triple recipe and keep it in the fridge, so I'm now looking for a way to be able to use my regular olive oil and just add blood orange flavor without using perishable fresh orange juice. I figured a blood orange extract or syrup added to the dressing might be the solution.This one was the first product that I tried and I have to say that it doesn't cut it.It smells nice, but the taste definitely pulls toward sweet rather than citrusy. As sweet as it is, it oddly takes quite a lot of it to impart any citrus flavor to the dressing. Rather than adding a bright orange flavor, this instead just adds aroma and sweetness. It sorta reminds me of the kind of orange syrup that's used for sno-cones.I finally doctored the latest batch up with a combination of lemon juice and this syrup. The lemon seemed to brighten the flavor up while this syrup gave it aroma and a slight orange-y flavor. It's fairly reddish in color so it also added color to the dressing as well.I don't completely hate it, so I'll probably use up the bottle, but I definitely won't order it again and I'll be looking elsewhere for an extract (vs a syrup) to try instead.
