Meringue Powder 16 oz

This Merinque Powder is alot cheaper then the Wilton Brand. I noticed that in using it to make Royal Icing for a Gingerbread house that I actually could use alot less powder in the recipie. It seems to be a much more concentrated powder then Wiltons becuase when I used it in the Wilton Recipe it needed a little more water added then with the other brand. That tells me that there are alot more egg whites in this one.

I've used this product twice since I received it. I used the recipe exactly as stated and it just doesn't make a stiff royal icing for me. I was using H&H up to this point and loved it but I can no longer get that so I've begun the search for decent meringue powder starting with this one. The last set of cookies I made (while beautiful) the icing took 3 days to dry--although I'm not sure that it really is dry I'm just afraid to poke my finger in the cookie for fear of another dent in my art work. I'm giving it one more shot tonight and if I can't get the stiff royal icing I need then I'm planning to return it as I'm seriously disappointed with the performance. If I get what I need I will append this review. In the photo I've attached, notice the dent to the right of the scarf in the white jacket. I believe you can also see the dent on the bottom left side of the white heart as well. The cookies never really firmed up. You can't package a cookie that won't dry.I'm an experienced cookier and I bake artisan cookies probably once or twice a week in large batches.

Best smelling and tasting meringue powder I've found! Has a pleasant vanilla smell and taste, unlike others that smell like eggs. Product works great and it's the Greatest volume for price that I've come across. This will Definitely be the ONLY meringue powder I buy in the future!

Love it! I'm a baker and use it in frostings and royal icing. It's way cheaper than Wilton and just as good. I've had no problem with my royal icing recipe like other reviews. It hardens completely.

This is a great product!!! I've tried several different meringue powders in the past and this is the best one by far! I highly recommend it to other cake makers who love to use quality products. Very good price and fast shipping. I will be buying again!!

This merengue powder was super granular. This product is not eligible for return and I have an order for 100 decorated cookies that I cannot use it for. Maybe I can figure out another use but merengue powder for royal icing needs to be soft and fine. Save your money if you need it for royal icing.

I suppose it might depend on what you’re using it in, but I use it in my royal icing and it makes it very gritty/grainy. It was okay if I dissolved it first in warm water but it’s just not worth the extra step to me.

The first time I ordered this product, it was great so I was happy to order it a second time. Unfortunately, with this bag the powder is very grainy and made my royal icing have a gritty texture. It was unusable as is; I had to run it in the food processor for a few minutes to get it to be a better texture.
