Trustworthy Author and Leadership Advice
I first saw this in a LinkedIn post. I already had a biased opinion, so I went ahead and bought the book. Including this reading with my Toastmasters experience, this book just enhanced my leadership knowledge.I am glad to have read it before my leadership class in the MPA program as well. I am still in the program and leadership keeps coming up, and I can't help, but keep coming back to this book regarding trust, and understanding. So many nuggets of wisdom in this book. If you read this book, you'll be good in your leadership classes.

'As Goes The Leader, So Goes The Team'
Mike Ettore has written the playbook on how to take proven leadership concepts, philosophies, principles, and techniques from the ‘battlefields’ of the United States Marine Corps and apply them to today’s ‘business’ world.I could not agree more with Mike’s belief that,“Leadership is a force multiplier that can catapult a company to the heights of its industry.”Mike’s book brought back a flood of memories from my own service as a US Marine and how those leadership skills have translated to my career in the corporate world. When it comes to leadership, Mike reminds us that, ‘school is always in session’. If you are striving to ‘become a world-class leader’, study & apply the lessons from this book, and subscribe to Mike's highly insightful and engaging ‘Fidelis Leadership Podcast’.Why?As Mike regularly reminds us,“As goes the Leader, so goes the Team.”Thank you, Mike, for your loyal service and adding such tremendous value to the growing body of knowledge on ‘Leadership’.Jeff HarrisCEO | Strategic Advisor | Executive CoachForbes ContributorUS Marine

Learn Real Leadership
The author does a great job of teaching the essentials of real leadership. As a professional manager with years of experience, an MBA and experience as a US Marine, I can state authoritatively that management schools and degree programs teach management, not leadership. This book is a must read for everyone who aspires to be a good manager and build effective teams. The great news is that you can learn these leadership lessons without risking lives, having anyone screaming in your face, navigating an obstacle course, or investing years of your life in the armed forces.I confess that, being a Marine, I am biased. However, the lessons taught here aren't exclusive to the USMC. Learn them and become a real leader instead of just a manager. I have used them to consistently build high-performing teams in every company I have worked.

Outstanding Leadership Book
This book is the best I have read about what it means to be a “world-class leader.” Please don’t think that the Marine Corps leadership concepts are not applicable in the civilian workplace. What Mike Ettore provides in this book are sound principles and guidance that will work for anyone who aspires to be a trusted servant leader. He is an example of success as a Marine (both enlisted and officer) and, after his retirement from the Corps, as a civilian business executive. I regularly review the content of this book and his other titles as part of my ongoing professional goal of striving to be a more effective leader.

Must Read for any Leader!
Ettore’s Rules is the perfect synopsis of this book! Twenty-four leadership principles laid out from real life experiences that set the foundation for what it takes to be effective. I was fortunate to have served with this exceptional leader. He has had a profound positive impact in my life and professional career, and I am grateful for his guidance and friendship. This book is extremely well written and will help guide anyone in a leadership role whether they are military or civilian. Sound best practices forged over three decades of real-life events from combat operations to the boardroom. The lessons he learned are clearly explained and easy to understand.I highly recommend this book if you want to become a better leader!

Think You Can Be a Leader? So Does Mike
I've know Mike for over 25 years and his ability to teach leadership continues to amaze me. This book lays out how all Officers of Marines learned to lead -- Easy; and then proceeds to convince the reader how it applies in business -- Hard. But, if you really listen closely, you'll learn how to apply leadership to your entire life -- Priceless. If you want to master the art and science of leading, Mike will teach you how to change your life.
