Fruitking Vacuum Freeze Dried Mangosteen 50g.

I do not understand what the rest of the reviewers are complaining about the seeds for? The seed seem to be sweet and creamy and have us really unique to texture compared to any other seed or nut I've ever had. I have never had fresh mango steam before but something tells me that freeze drying them with the seeds in it make the seeds taste better than they would if they were not freeze dried or have a different crunch or something. it's not like they were hard to chew were so delicious I don't know why everybody's complaining. lol not cheap though.

I'm an avid devourer of the actual mangosteen fruit, but it's next to impossible to find in the US. I ordered this out of curiosity. For the novelty aspect, it's certainly worth trying once. You get two packets of dried petals. The experience of eating these freeze dried mangosteen petals simply cannot compare to indulging in the fresh ones, but you do get some of the rush of flavor that you'd get if it were fresh. One downside is that there is some husk attached to the petals, and you have to be careful not to bite into it. I probably wouldn't order this again, but I'm glad I tried it once. It has encouraged me to look harder for the actual fruit.

unedible it was like dust, and I breathed it in, AWFUL.

I guess it just wasn't at all what I expected--airy-crunchy puffed texture, when I hoped for chewy and dense. The very mild flavor is slightly pleasant--but now I know that this type of freeze-dried snack isn't for me.

I've purchased this fruit for my sister-in-law who is from Thailand twice. She was very surprised that I found some for sale here in the U.S. and that it tastes so fresh as if she had just gotten some at home. Our only negative comment is that the package is very small for the price.

So tasty! Am back to order more in bulk. :) Shared it with about 8 other people -- everyone liked it. Some pieces have tiny remnants of seeds in them -- I actually prefer those as the seed adds a nice sweet crunch. Overall, these have a sweet-and-slightly-sour taste, similar in flavor to the fresh ones, though fresh tend to taste more sweet and have more aroma (obviously).

I hadn’t tried the mangosteen fruit before ordering this, and I can’t get the fruit sent here bc of agriculture rules, and I really wanted to know what mangosteens taste like, so I ordered this product. As it turns out, I did get to try them before this got here. Which I’m glad for bc even tho these are tasty, you really don’t get the true flavor of the mangosteen which is absolutely delicious. These are good, but not delicious, an I most likely wouldn’t have pursued trying mangosteens any further. If these are around, I’ll eat them, but I wouldn’t order them again, or seek them out.
