LS2 Helmets Horizon Modular Helmet W/SunShield (Matte Black - Large)

First off, I now own 3 LS2 Helmet models. This recent purchase of the LS2 Horizon Modular helmet was no hesitation for me due to the fact that I know there quality.I received my helmet in 2 days as I did the other two helmets. I ride daily, year round in NE Pennsylvania and I'm telling you these helmets are built solid. I purchased the Horizon because I really enjoy the modular option! This helmet is built just as well as my Rapid and my Assault,both or which I have owned for over a year now and have had zero problems with them.This Horizon fits perfect and accurate to their size chart. I have never had a problem with fit. The Horizon comes pinlock ready and with an FF902 Pinlock insert, It has a built in sun screen that actually works!!! It's cable actuated and dose not flop around or rattle when in the up position. Just so many good things to say about these helmets. Most importantly they are priced right!!! You can't go wrong purchasing these helmets. I'm not being paid for this review, it's just my true honest experience with these helmets. The ventilation is amazing and works very very well!!! Get lots of fresh air in the helmet. I rode with it for about 2 hours today and really did enjoy it! One other thing, It's really easy turning your head to either side due to the way the base of the helmet is shaped, you can really turn your head very well wearing this helmet. Try one, you won't be disappointed!!!

Great helmet. Despite being modular the noise is pretty low. At 70mph I can still hear my Cardo clearly. Only caveat is they run a little small. If you think you have a large head, get an XL. You'll be on the top end of each size range no matter what.Weight - manageable. Not the lightest helmet, but for an affordable Moduler it's relatively light.Finish - the Matt black shows scuffs but that's fine by me. Wounds heal, chicks dig scars and glory lasts forever.Visor - anti scratch as much as plastic can be. I'm 3 months in and no permanent scratches. Even rode with the front flipped up and shade Visor down and no issues. All tight.Cushioning - little bit tight in the cheek area. But I got chubby cheeks.Strap - easy quick release and just as easy to pop on while riding in case you forget to click it before taking off.Comfort - gets a little foggy at stop lights. But I live in south Florida so most helmets do.Overall - great helmet. Would definitely buy again.

Great helmet,Once I got the right size. I went by the sizes in the ad and ordered a large the first time but it was way to small so I went up one size and it fit great. Noise lvl is low and vents really well.

This was my first ever full face helmet and I'm glad this was the one to take that title. It saved me from a car accident I had last year and the original held up very well even after the collision. There was something I did experience and that was a minor concussion. I wasn't quite sure as to how this happened and I simply assumed it was the sun visor housing that gave me the impact. That wasn't the actual issue though. It was the sizing! Many folks in the reviews have mentioned to go a size up and as such, I trusted them. Please do not do that. A helmet is supposed to be snug against your face, elsewise you may receive some sort of head trauma. If you're unsure about sizing, grab a string or cable (phone charger) and wrap it around your eyebrow line and between your ears, then measure the length of the overlapping end.Now if you do get into an accident like me... It's never recommended to continue using the helmet after an accident as its structural integrity is damaged from whatever collision you put it through. Meaning next time you get into an accident with the same helmet, you could get hurt.Anyway, the replacement of this helmet still served me great wonders. I'm only now retiring it as I needed a warmer helmet for the current winter season. (Although I felt like I somehow downgraded by doing that...)Regarding the modular aspect of the helmet. It's very nice. Being able to flip up the chin piece makes putting the helmet on a lot easier. Even with glasses on. The flip down sun visor is handy during those sunnier days as well. The vents across the mouth and upper skull region do their job as well. Even the speaker pockets work great! I've as well put great use to the included pinlock insert it comes with!Now owning two helmets, I have to say this is better than the one I just recently purchased even if it's oversized. Granted this fella does cost a bit more than my newer helmet but the price shows across this helmet.Give er a buy! Ya won't regret it! Just make sure to get the proper size to save your noggin!

Shipping took a couple of weeks but was within the estimated window. Packaged very well by manufacturer, dealer and Amazon. I was skeptical after reading all of the reviews. My head is oval shaped and exactly 25 inches in circumference. This helmet has completely surpassed my expectations... Especially for this price range. It fits VERY snuggly... But absolutely perfectly! Zero pressure points. Arai helmets hurt my forehead and leave a red mark while being loose on the sides. That's what I wore before based on instruction from an expert who incorrectly but understandably told me my head is round.Everything on this helmet functions flawlessly. The sun visor retracts/detracts fully using only the lever... I cannot find a single flaw in workmanship. I couldn't be more elated with my purchase.I'm so glad I bought this helmet... I'm ecstatic. I highly recommend to anybody considering this helmet... but still unsure.

The helmet fit my son perfectly and he liked how it fit. Unfortunately he had a wreck on his bike, he was unharmed just very sore. He was going approximately 20-30 miles when he crashed. This helmet along with all his other safety gear protected him.I have now purchased a 2nd one.
