This rice is delicious and a good value
We order a new pack of 12 boxes once in a while, in order to have this rice around all the time. It's so tasty with a little pat of butter and a little salt mixed in to finish. Just delicious! And America's Test Kitchen taste test winner.I'd initially thought the individual boxes were on the small side, when I first started researching and shopping for wild rice, but it turns out they're just great for my family group (3 adults, with leftovers sometimes). I also discovered that wild rice is quite expensive generally, so I understand the smaller quantity packaging now.I compared the price of one box of this same brand in my local grocery store with 1/12th the cost of this package of 12, and this came out slightly less expensive than the one in my local grocery (a good sized chain in a good sized city: HEB, Austin, TX).

Taste and presentation when dealing with food.
At first I was thrown backward based on color of rice. Takes awhile to cook but I love, love the taste. I used it to make a WildRice Stir Fry with Roasted Turnips, Celery and Escallions with Ginger, Onion and Toasted Walnuts.

Good flavor; less grain-like than most other wild rices mixes
This particular product was recommended to me by a vet, who wanted my dog (who has a lot of allergies) to get some lower carbohydrate filler, in its diet, but wanted me to feed a less inflammatory grain, and she felt this wild rice fit the bill, and is more "grass-like" than grain-like in her opinion. (It remains a thinner rice particle, even after cooking, than white or brown rice.) It has worked well for our dog. (We also like it in soups calling for wild rice.) If using a rice cooker, you need to add a LOT more water than the box recommendations, if using the whole box. I found it necessary to use 4.5 cups of water in a rice cooker. The directions on water to add, are only for stove top cooking with 2.5 cups of water.

This wild rice has a good rich flavor, and it's nice to be able to get it in a smaller size.

Great Taste
Healthy product that is hard to find locally. Arrived just fine. Instant pot makes wild rice easy to cook.

Wild Rice was delicious... Nutty taste and it is a little chewy... just the way I like it.
This is the best wild rice on the market. I found it at my local grocery store one day because the package said, "Paddy Grown." I had no idea what that was, so of course, I bought it. Following the directions, I used my rice cooker to cook the Reese Wild Rice. The Wild Rice was delicious... In my opinion, the rice has a nutty taste and it is a little chewy... just the way I like it. Oh, my husband loves it too which is a plus! However, when I went back to purchase another box, I was told they no longer sell it. Thanks, Amazon!
