Hard, very sweet, with a light aniseed flavour.
Pleasant, but unremarkable. Hard, very sweet, with a light aniseed flavour.

nice enough
i thought the bag would be a bit bigger than this. not very good value for money but i won't be buying them again anyhow. they are ok tasting, i have had better and a heck of a lot cheaper. overall they are ok, but not something i would be willing to fork out £2 for a bag of approx 13. but there we are we all live and learn.

The strange case of the absence of aniseed in an aniseed sweet
Uncle Joe makes marvelous mint balls so I thought, as I really love aniseed, I'd try their aniseed offering. Their lozenge is quite pleasant to suck, but Uncle Joe has forgotten to include the all-important 'aniseed' flavour ! Therefore any aniseed lover will feel cheated whilst those looking for a throat soother will be disappointed as the lozenge lacks any strength. So it's a fail from this company. Cannot recommend.
