Yes, in fact it is designed to do that and has battery conditioning built into the unit.

Q: If you need to extend the charging leads what size wire should you use..

The manual explicitly states not to extend or cut the leads. I’m assuming they have a calibration of the wire resistance internally so that for a specific charging current, they know the battery voltage.

No. It only sources approximately 13.8v to 14v on each isolated charging section. Two batteries in series would require up to 28v. You can charge series batteries with 2 sections of the charger as they are isolated. The something else you are using the other section if not batteries probably won't work either as this charger senses voltage before it begins to charge. No offense but you are messing with something you don't have a fundamental understanding of.

Yes, I have that set up in my boat as well and it works great at charging all three.
