Repairing a worn out keyboard wrist rest
I purchased the MastaPlasta repair patch to restore the leather covering on a keyboard wrist rest, and it exceeded my expectations. Rather than replacing the entire wrist rest, this patch provided a far cheaper solution—and the results were fantastic! The repair process was quick and easy. The adhesive held firm, and the patch blended seamlessly with the original material. Infact, the quality of the patch looks even better than the original leather. The MastaHide upholstery fabric has a professional finish with a light-reflecting surface that enhances the repair's appearance.MastaPlasta is a practical, economical, and effective solution for fixing damaged items. Its versatility also makes it a great product to keep on hand for future repairs on leather, suede, or vinyl. Highly recommended for anyone looking to breathe new life into their belongings!

Excellent sticky faux leather, not so easy to apply to non-flat surfaces
The Mastaplasta faux leather sticks better than the proverbial to a blanket. Working with it is very fiddly and needs skill and knowledge of trade tricks if the surface is not flat, otherwise it is simple.Making it conform to a non-flat surface, eg the wrist rest of my old MW310LE mouse mat, to repair a hole is possible, but be very careful where one begins the stick, and mask off areas that will not be stuck to!Masking off? Once stuck it sticks all too well. But... it needs to be bigger then the final patch size, simply for one to be able to grab hold of edges, and manipulate (stretch and press) it into position. Then the surplus can be trimmed with a sharp blade, and an old plastic spatula slid under the masking tape protects the blade and surface.I had hoped the usual vinyl shrink trick with a hairdryer would pull out the small residual creases around the edges, but it failed. Maybe I didn’t raise the temperature enough, a bit chicken perhaps, but the area my wrist rested on was repaired, and that was the bit that mattered. See the pic of my partial success! My two other much simpler small repairs went as expected, and being black leather on black leather are almost invisible, so not worth a photo.

Best alternative to a retrim
Great value. Trimmers wanted £800 PER SEAT for a retrim of these old Fiat X1/9 seats. They're torn, cracked and dry. I simply couldn't afford entirely new leather for them so it wasn't an option. Previous own had used gaffer tape to patch the holes and had stitched on some poor quality leather on the bolster. The goal was not a 'good as original' but to get to a worn, useable state. This product had rave reviews and so I had to give it a try at £15 a roll.Simple and easy to use. I cleaned the seat down with some multi-purpose cleaner (detol etc) once dry I sized up the roll where I wanted to patch the seat, marked the patch and carefully applied the patches. WHAT A RESULT! The seat is patch repaired and with a bit of Renapor to soften up and rejuvenate the leather. Good as they should be for their age (1970s) and very useable. Can't recommend this product enough.

Doest stay down
I've used stuff like this for years, never this brandIt's easy to apply but doesn't stay down. It lifts and curls soo easily. You'll end of trying to add your own adhesive or giving up.

All patched up and ready to go!!!!
Glad I purchased this. Received a quote for £350 to fix my leather seats. Time will tell how good they are but for now they look very decent and the quality and adhesive seems very strong and sturdy. Never leave reviews ever but i had to because how good this product is.
