Huggermugger: The Mystery Word Board Game

Great game! Clue meets trivial pursuit, scrabble and hangman! Fun times!

Was introduced to this game for this first time about a year ago, and ended up buying it for my family because it was so fun!This is basically a game with several different categories (word scramble, definition, spelling, "list twelve words that rhyme with cocoon" in one minute type of questions, and wildcard random factoid questions). Some questions are much harder than others, but that's the game. You work your way to a special numbered spot by answering questions correctly, and then, if you get a correct answer while on a numbered spot, you get to peek at one of the letters in the secret word. The point of the game is to be the first to correctly guess the secret word.This is a great game for smarties and people who don't mind a little challenge. The minute timer helps the pace from getting too slow, but still the game can take awhile to win - be prepared for a thirty-minute (or longer) game when you sit down to play.All in all, highly recommend. This is a great one to have in your game night repertoire.

Weird little game that we played with my parents over the holidays. If you like word games, this is alot of fun!

When I purchased this game it said it was "new". The game i received was definitely not new. I opened it up and there were obvious stains on the board and on the cards. It was a real disappointment as I bought this for my mom because it was her favorite game and she lost her original one in a fire years ago.

We haven’t had a chance to play the game yet but it arrived ahead of time and was in excellent condition! Would high recommend this vendor!

My family hasn't had this game in ages, and we were always talking about it but couldn't find it anywhere. I was so excited when this seller offered it at a reasonable price. If you have looked around this site, some prices are around $90 !!!! - - - - for a board game!!!!This game is fun and you will learn quite a bit if you retain the information it contains. I say you should try this game if the price is right. Make sure you play with fellow gamers, because if you have to twist someone's arm to play games, they probably won't like this one. It can take a while.

received the game in a respectable time - about a week from ordering.have not opened it yet. we own an older version of this game, and have enjoyed it for several years.

My friend is an English major and he received this game from me as a Christmas present. What a mistake. I have never had my butt so thoroughly kicked before in anything. He was flouncing around the board while my friends and I were trying to find 20 words that rhymed with constitutional in under a minute. This game is full of word fun, highly recommended if you just want to be confused in the most hilarious way and laugh at the weirdness that is the English language. The jr. version for kids is also fun and I will be purchasing it for my school.
