NICE LIGHT-WEIGHT PAINTING SURFACE
This works well for my oil painting. It’s a stiff enough surface. Great for painting outside or when you don’t want to lug a lot of heavy equipment. I hesitated to paint on paper, but this is nice for when I need a light-weight surface. Nice texture.

Great product for easy painting
I bought this with the specific intention of painting using acrylics and cutting the paper to size to fit into existing frames. It is really easy to sketch on; also easy to erase. The paint goes on well and looks good. The paper is thick enough and the paint does not leak. If you use a bit more water, that area appears a bit indented on the back but the quality of paper remains and after it dries there is no difference. I use a brown board to support the paper while I am painting. You can sense the thickness of the paper when you cut it and it does not bend easily; I have some of my paintings hanging from a piece of twine between 2 push pins in the walls and held by wooden cloth pins. The quality and the ease of use is what is going to make me buy this again.

Quality
I always use the Canson paper products . The texture and quality is great .but I like more larger size . Also the prices are high , well because of the quality it’s supposed to be expensive! But I wish there could be some discounts or coupons!

Looks like canvas without the hassel
This can a paper is amazing! You get the performance and feel of canvas with the flexibility and sturdyness of paper. One warning though, these sheets do not perform well in a printer. I bought them to try making some high quality prints with my Epson P6000 but they didn't take the inkjet ink well. They are awesome with acrylics and oils...I have not tried watercolors nor pastels on them.

I like the texture/weave on this and the surface is just ...
I am never without this "canvas" in my studio. I use just about everything out there from linen to kart paper and have tried most of the other canvas type pads as well. I like the texture/weave on this and the surface is just about right. I grade canvas (and gessos too) on whether they are "fast" or "slow" to paint on which mostly has to do with how absorbent the surface is. For me this surface is a good balance. Great for small studies or adhering to small masonite boards. Comparably affordable and a strong surface that can take a small amount of abuse as well.I have used it several years now and due to health reasons have had to change from turpentine to walnut oil and it seems to work just as well for both.

A great alternative to canvas!
Love this paper!! Great for when I need to do big projects and drawings. I used India ink and it didnt bleed through, came out smooth and the ink didnt have issues with the texture. Gave a nice clean line with a brush. If you apply and reapply and keep adding wet mediums to it, I dont think it would hold up like canvas so keep that in mind. But a great alternative! It has a silky smooth and "plasticky" feel almost like its curved with something, so it definitely outperforms your typical heavyweight paper for watercolor or something. I could see this working with all types of mediums.

Worked great!
The paper still held up well even after using a good amount of paint on it. It did warp the paper a little but over all is a good product ^-^
