Already from Unit Three the level of difficulty increased notably. The texts move on from basic grammar to focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary expansion on more technical and academic levels, higher understanding of the Italian grammar rule jungle, oral comprehension with high-powered and fast-speaking audio presentations, videos etc. It was a shocking plunge into colder waters, but good. On the more critical side I note that not all the themes are of equal interest or quality in presentation, there is some repetition, there are too many exercises (for those of us insistent upon doing all that are available), and a few of the videos are a bit bizarre. However, the determined student will benefit greatly from this leap forward.
