We actually didn't use it on a door but rather on a step up section under the door in a patio (interior/screened in) where the concrete stucco kept degrading/chipping. Drilled it onto the concrete, no more eyesore, looks and works great.

Don't get mad ~ adapt.I was actually looking for a kick plate as they tend to be longer, but I couldn't find one that was narrow enough to fit the space I needed on the door.These PUSH plates are perfect! Would have liked the length to be longer aesthetically speaking ~ but they save my doors as is!!Maybe this company should manufacture a new size of product specifically catered to fur parents!Super easy installation. The only issue was getting the protective wrapping off the plates themselves.

Item was coated to prevent scratches prior to install, and was not warped at all. Highly recommended.

I bought this to put up and stick magnets to.I gave it 3 stars because I think it would likely do what you want it to do if you are getting it for its intended purpose. If you are looking for a basic steel plate, this is not your huckleberry.

I didnt want gross, greasy, dirty marks on the door that I just painted so I bought this push plate. It works well and it it looks great!

We have a bad habit of using our (dirty) hands on our white doors - this will cut down on the unsightly hand-prints
