Important reading
I bought this book for my daughter and she was pleased with the binding: Apparently bookie folk appreciate covers as well as the content, which of course was interesting and one of those books we need to read.

famous story, by a famous writer
interesting, in its field of dystopian novels but some of his ideas were before their time and lots to make one think about the futures described in it. not quite as depressing as some later writing in this field. dystopian novels are on the A-level syllabus !

Love the book but not this copy so much
It is pretty good but the front cover started peeling after a bit of use (might be my fault). Nothing against Huxley...

A Mind-Expanding Classic: Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley is a profoundly relevant novel that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with classics like 1984, yet holds even greater resonance for Western society today.Huxley's depiction of a future dominated by consumerism, technology, and pervasive social conditioning is eerily prescient. It invites readers to confront the complexities of societies that appear free but are meticulously controlled. In contrast to Orwell's 1984, which portrays a totalitarian regime, Brave New World explores a world where conformity and hedonism shape social order. It examines themes of individuality, happiness, and the consequences of technological advancement, prompting critical reflection on our current societal trajectory.I wholeheartedly recommend Brave New World to anyone seeking thought-provoking literature that not only captivates but also challenges perceptions of modern society. It remains a timeless masterpiece that continues to provoke meaningful discussions and contemplation.

Marvellous book, great copy.
Extraordinary book for enabling the reader to see their own culture, the intractable challenges of our attention economy built upon the task of distraction, and the eternal need for the staples of moral formation - rich culture, religion/belief and meaningful relationships.
