Miss Elaine Silk Essence Nightgown - Long Silky & Sheer Tricot Gown with Flutter Sleeves

This nightgown is purely delightful. First to speak of, the color. I purchased the Aqua color gown, and I received exactly what I hoped for, a gown with a pale seafoam hue. While it is absolutely perfect, the Aqua is not the lovely Sky Blue being worn by the model in the picture. This might be a concern for some, but was a blessing for me. The fabric is wonderful—super lightweight, buttery soft and silky, and not at all too sheer. I wouldn’t recommend having a conversation with a casual acquaintance or your significant other’s best buds while wearing this with bright light casting around you, unless you are trying to provoke a response that is, but I have Shadowline nightgowns that are more sheer than this. The length was just exactly what I was hoping for, not too long, not too short, but more of a mid-calf or best described as a tea length. Add to all this the delicate lace detail, which is not at all scratchy, and the perfect fit, and you have an exquisite nightgown that is as much a delight to amble around the house in as it is cool, lightweight, and comfortable to sleep in. This is my first Miss Elaine, but it assuredly will not be my last. I think something in a pale pink is next.Update - August 7, 2022: As you can tell by my initial review, there was nothing I didn’t like about that nightgown, and I said, while it was my first Miss Elaine, it certainly wouldn’t be my last. Well, I love, love, love that nightgown so much, I bought another like it, but in the pink, and it is gorgeous. I wore it to bed last night. These nightgowns are so fabulous. The lightweight fabric just forms to you (not clingy) in bed or when just sitting around the house, making it pleasantly feel like a smooth silky part of you. I’m telling you, I could not be any more happy with these twins. I’m am an absolute Miss Elaine fan. They are the best. 🥇🥇🥇

I really like this silky nightgown way more than I thought I would from first look! The coverage on the shoulders keeps my "girls" where I want them instead of escaping. The fabric is very silky, flowy and cool without being clingy or causing static like another Miss Elaine nightgown I originally tried. It's definitely sheer, but in a classy way so I feel I'm more retro goddess than fuddy duddy matron. The lace is very soft which I was concerned about. It's not pokey or scratchy and seems very sturdily sewn. My little toddler loves soothing himself with the fabric while we cuddle for bed--overall a WIN! I can see why the price is more after having purchased cheaper nightgowns. I see myself getting more!

I always buy Miss Elaine gowns and took a step up with this gorgeously detailed item. The only negative is that the fabric is thinner than my other gowns. Washes and dries well in machine

You can find a cheaper gown but not as silky. This is more sheer and side than the Shadowline gowns. I’d pay a little more and definitely buy this again. Generous fit.

Love all Miss Elaine nightwear. Definitely worth the money. The fabric is fantastic and moves with you while you’re sleeping and tossing. I have one nightgown that is 7 yrs. old and still looks brand new. Highly recommend!
