I believe the leather should be stronger and there should be more straps to hold the adjustable straps better.

One of the buckles was backward, making this completely unusable. Unfortunately, I missed the return window because of travel and now I'm stuck with it. Don't buy this. There is obviously no quality control.

The good: An interesting addition to an outfit or style. The compass works, and includes a stop to prevent damage. The sundial works, though the precision on this small of a sundial can be... questionable. But let's face it, you're not buying it as a wrist watch replacement. It's all about the style.The bad: The leather is extremely thin. It stretches under the weight of the dial. Certainly not made for much use, and causes me to be a bit concerned about actually wearing it. And the worst part, IMO: Mine came with a significant amount of verdigris. Now, stable verdigris would be OK if that was the look I was going for, but what I got was straight corrosion of the worst type. It flakes off and stains my skin after only a few minutes. Not sure if this was dunked in saltwater and left in a humid environment to corrode before it got to me, but it was unexpected and significantly detracts from the aesthetic. I tried cleaning it up a bit, and might be able to stabilize it, but it's more work than I wanted to put into it for the small role that it will play.

The product itself is really nice and seems well built down to a locking mechanism for the compass pointer so it doesn't bang around while you wear it. The strap, while leather, is a little flimsy and light. The craftsmanship of the sundial itself is nice thou. It is a bit large and heave so it is best as a steampunk cosplay item, and looks good enough for display.
