Mity-Lite Flex One Folding Chair, 18-8 Steel, Black, 4-Pack

I am pretty reserved in my recommendations, but I unequivocally say buy this chair if you are looking for a folding chair, or even just a comfortable chair. It's not just a great chair--it's affordable for buying a dining set, a classroom, or a meeting-hall's worth.This is the best folding chair I have ever sat on. It is more comfortable than most dining chairs, and far better than most assembly hall or banquet chairs, etc. The flexible plastic "mesh" (plastic panels with holes) seat and back are very comfortable and ventilated if it is warm. Easy to clean also--no stains like on a padded seat. Honestly, I don't like padded chairs. And, of course, much better than any hard plastic or steel seat/back. Back is very supportive, even though it doesn't have any lower (lumbar) portion (normal for a folding chair). I'm 5'-11" 200ish pounds, for reference.They look nice, with clean lines and everything finished. The bars are not modest-diameter ovals (so look graceful), and the chair feels completely sturdy and durable. I've had these for 4 years, with occasional use, and everything has held-up. Plastic is still flexible, no cracking, etc.Look around, this chair is sold under some other store brand names, although this seems to be best price. Individual chairs, or different color combos other than basic black, etc., are often more expensive per chair. Few other folding chairs you can get at this price, and no other folding/stacking chair is as nice. Well, maybe the more fancy versions MityLite makes, with fabric over the back and seat, etc., are nicer, but never seen those in person, and not necessary for what most people need in a chair.

I bought these chairs to serve as extra seating for guests. Mostly they'd be used around our kitchen table, but could be used in the living room, on the deck or in the basement. I based my purchase on the chairs' appearance, the positive reviews and the price. I was not disappointed! I put the chairs to use as soon as they arrived. There is no assembly, so all I had to do was pull them out of the box, take the label stickers off and my house guests had comfortable seating for dinner within minutes.Unlike a lot of folding chairs, these felt very sturdy. While I'm not certain I trust that the chairs support 1,000 lbs as the labels claim, I do believe they would hold at least 250 lbs each. The material is sturdy but not stiff. This provides some flexibility in the back and the seat of each chair, but not so much that you feel like it's going to bend or break. In fact, these feel sturdier than metal folding chairs without the rigidity. My mom, who likes to comment on everything, said she preferred sitting in these chairs to our regular dining chairs (molded plastic Eames chairs) because these were more comfortable.Also, the seats are wide. This may be a negative for some people because of space concerns, but for me, it was a positive. I'm comfortable with my kids climbing into and sitting in these chairs and I don't have to worry about them falling out because the seats are narrow or the seats tipping over because the base isn't wide enough.Finally, I like the way these look. IMO, they don't look cheap, so I never feel the need to immediately put them away or hide them in storage. In fact, I keep one or two folded in the corner of our kitchen and don't consider them eyesores like I do some of our previous folding chairs.

Our small screening area has used these chairs for many years with no complaints from anyone. They have a little give in the seats and backs, which is the key to their comfortability. They are light enough to be taken down easily but sturdy enough to not be damaged over years of use. We just boughtanother eight of them to bring our total to 40 seats in all. I also think they are far more aesthetically pleasing than most inexpensive folding chairs. I strongly recommend them.

I just can't believe how much more comfortable and durable these chairs are in relation to standard folding chairs. And I can gain a bunch of weight as well since they will hold up to a remarkable 1,000 pounds!

If you have a bad back & are looking for a folding chair this is it. I looked & looked & read all the reviews I could find. My office chair has similar looking material so when I saw these I had high hopes. While it might not be as comfortable as my really nice office chair, for a folding chair this is fantastic. Previously, I had a set of 4 folding chairs w/ a card table that I considered pretty nice - after receiving these I will never use those again. These are wonderful. I read a review that someone uses this to sit in for 8 hours + day - I don't recommend sitting in any folding chair even this one that is more comfortable than most - not good for your back - I'd recommend an actual chair if your intent is to sit for more than 8 hours per day. However, I could see sitting in these comfortably for long durations. I sat in one yesterday off & on for probably a total of 2.5 hours & was very pleased. The seat is pre-made to contour & this means no stiff seat! That alone is the reason these are great. Interestingly, these allow you to recline/lean back very nicely....kind of like a patio chair. I was looking for a chair that was portable, comfortable, high quality, great price, and this is meets all of those needs. I wanted to be able to have a chair I could move around to be in front of my desk, on the deck/patio, etc & am very happy w/ this purchase.Again, I have a very bad back & am very picky on chairs. I am very happy w/ these chairs & wish I would have found them a long time ago. The price is great for the high quality you get (including shipping & no tax). I would definitely buy again. And, these are made in the USA!!!
