Love my bible

This bible is great. I really appreciate the many Hebrew words detailed in their own page boxes. And lots of archaeological / historical information as opposed to denominational rant. One of the best bibles I own.I purchased the "Brown Genuine Leather" -- and was not disappointed. The book can be read without being crazy floppy like goat-skin. Yet it has the smell of the farm like I was hoping it would. 😊

I love just about everything about this Bible! The leather is beautiful: it smells amazing and feels soft and buttery in your hands. The markings on the leather are stamped and no color was added which I greatly appreciate. I purchased another, more expensive but lower quality full leather Bible that actually had a UPC Bar Code stamped in gold on the leather! The pages in this Bible are also heavier than most study Bibles. I love that there are two ribbon markers which are just the right length to hang out a couple of inches but not more. And I don't use the tabs, but they are an interesting feature that many will appreciate.I have found the size of the font to be very readable, as well as the contrast of the ink on the page. The study notes are set off at the bottom of each page with a light beige background for differentiation from the biblical text. And I appreciate that the words of Jesus are printed in red. While the timelines are a little difficult to read, the charts, maps and photos are very well done. Another interesting and helpful feature is that New Testament quotes of the Old Testament are in bold type; even the red letter quotes.As for the translation, I am really enjoying the CSB! The NIV has long been my preferred translation. I also frequently use the ESV but find it too stilted to readily enjoy and sometimes difficult to understand. In addition, I often use the NLT which I appreciate for its comprehensibility. But these days, I find myself preferring this CSB Bible to my many others because it is comprehensible but puts things in a fresh way which prevents me from skimming the passage and assuming that I completely understand it since the language is so familiar. In addition, I just really, really enjoy holding this beautiful Bible in my hands, turning its pages and pouring over the many notes and features. The study notes and scholarly articles are excellent and add to my enjoyment of this study Bible. One feature I particularly enjoy is the inclusion of Greek and Hebrew word studies sprinkled throughout the text.Thank you CSB Translators, Contributors and Holman Bible Publishers for this wonderful Bible. Condition is great, delivery time was as per order, using it to deepen the understanding the Word.

Difficult passages such as Gen 9 where Noah uncovered himself inside the tent has been clearly explained.I never got why Noah is so angry about Ham and why he has to curse Canaan. I always thought it was indecency of some sort.Great commentary through out the entire bible, esp. on Romans Chapter 5 to Chapter 8.And I enjoy reading through all the introductions. Great works!Indeed,everything has been explained carefully without bias. Well done!The paper quality is excellent, no ghosting nor bleed through. Thank you Holman!! Browsing both online and brick and mortar Christian bookstores, it's quite common to see Study Bibles of this depth and high caliber going for $99 up to $199.Yet I got mine for only $59.99!!It's now been a little over a month since this magnificent Bible arrived and I can honestly say that I now RELISH my Bible study time, instead of regarding it as a dry chore.In closing, the best compliment I can pay the Holman CSB Study Bible is that I've already ordered another one, to present to my nephew who is leaving soon to begin out of state Christian missionary work.
