Geophysics: A Very Short Introduction (Very Short Introductions)

No troublesome math.

I;m reading a book on paleogeography (Earth History and Paleogeography byTorsvik and Cocks), and the geophysical methods that are employed to reconstruct the movement of continents was a bit over my head. This AVSI provided me with a clear introduction to the concepts employed by geophysicists (mainly having to do with paleomagnetism). That aside, the book gave me a taste of the fascinating realm of geophysics.

An excellent well-written book. Full of interesting information and an enjoyable read.
