I’m 6’7” and have become accustomed to the general world not being built for my size. Vanity mirrors in bathrooms are too low so I have bend down to see myself, sinks too low so I’m always bent over to wash dishes, shower heads that are about chest level and I again have to fold in half just to get my hair wet.No longer my friends! I don’t know why I never thought to look for a solution to this shower problem but boy did I not expect it to be this easy. I figured I would need to open the wall and extend the pipe and fittings and then patch it all back up. Being a renter that clearly wasnt a viable option anyways. I stumbled across this and it works fantastic. I can actually just stand straight up in the shower and get everything wet that needs to be. I would advise for those with older homes to be careful when trying to unscrew your existing shower neck. It can be very tight and too much leverage in the wrong angle can easily crack the fitting behind the wall and now you’ve got a big problem to fix.Tl;dr: for us tall guys & gals 100% worth it, my wife of 5’5 disagrees but she can now experience what it’s like living in a world not built for your size.

Being 6' this extension allows me to wash my hair without leaning down. Easy to install and looks great!

The part I received had very few threads on the plumbing side, it just accepted 2 turns, concerned about the leak behind the shower wall.This is an updated review, after communicating with the vendor, they sent me a replacement right away. Bert from Tapix, reply on time and took care of the problem.

I was very excited about installing this, but unfortunately it did not work for me. Not a fault of the product itself. My female 90 connection is too far back in the wall for this to thread deep enough. When I try to thread it, the extension hits my tub surround corner.Good product. Identical to the straight one I took out quality/finish wise and same as the more expensive ones from your local big box store, but unfortunately won’t fit. Just something to be aware of if you’re planning on installing this.

I wanted to add a filter to my shower but due to me being 6’2 the shower head would have ended up too low. So after some research I landed on this product, and I’m happy with my purchase. It was easy to install, and the added tephlon tape came in handy. The chrome finish is nice and doesn’t feel cheap, with a solid build quality for the price.

Worked perfectly

Moved into a new house and one bathroom had a shower head that was the height of my eyes (and I’m only 5’7”). After weeks of crouching down to use the shower, I ended up going to Home Depot and Lowes in an attempt to find a solution. Some people recommended new plumbing for $$$ but one guy said to look for this thing on Amazon. Installation took 3 minutes and i didn’t have to shut off my main water or anything. Now I can shower without having crouch down. Major life changer.

This appeared to be a great product and loved the height. The thread unfortunately failed and leaked for over a year into the wall cavity. Needless to say mold damage ensued. this has now cost me thousands of dollars in repair cost and loss of 2 bathrooms. Buying from a local place from now on.
