Quick Setting up, Light and Easy to Use
Due to the COVID-19, I was unable to go to the gym and found I gained a few pound here and there. I have always known that tracking what one eats can be good if one is trying to lose weight or get in shape. After a few days of researching food scales and reading reviews, I came across the Amiloe Max 33lbs Kitchen Scale and decided to give it a try. The scale arrived quickly and was nicely packaged. After reading the instructions it was very easy to set up and get started. It is very light weight with a large enough display and stores easily. I am now back to working out at the gym as well as tracking food intake. I have never owned a food scale before and was skeptical about weighing my food but I am now a believer because I have begun seeing results thanks to the Amiloe scale. I would recommend this scale to everyone and especially a beginner in tracking their food intake but does not like complicated systems or anyone looking for a tool that will help them get to their weight loss goals.

After two years of use I am glad I bought it.
I have had this scale two, almost three years now and it's solid. I don't use it too often but it's always just worked when I need it. I purchased Panasonic's eneloop 2100 cycle rechargeable batteries to go with this which have been in it for 2 years now. I know this because I was just trying to figure out where those batteries went and found this product purchased on the same day in my shopping history. I.E. the batteries have been in it without needing to charge since the day I bought the scale so props to the auto shutoff and efficiency in general.I remember running into some minor drift in the measurement after loading and unloading the scale multiple times without resetting to 0, but it was a small amount and it generally gives accurate readings. Recently I weighed some produce from Whole Foods to compare to the receipt to figure out which charge was for what item and the scale matched 3 of 3 items exactly, that is it exactly matched to the tenth of an ounce without fail almost 3 years after purchase on the same battery.

Works Well some Quirks
I have two of these for kitchen use. They work well with some quirks that it looks like this company or a competitor would fix. But it's the best scale that I've found in the price range so far. I'm just saying there is an opportunity to make some corrections to this for functionality, charge $5 more and sell 50% more product. Here are the issues the scale industry needs to solve.(1) The readout/switch pad in the lower right corner needs the readout to the right and the capacitive switches to the left (opposite of now) so the readout is not covered up when a plate is on the scale. And it would help to us a portrait format rather than landscape for less covering by the plate on the scale. (importance 7 out of 10).(2) In order to turn this scale off, which I like to do after every weight measurement, I have to hold the on/off/tare combination button and count to one thousand one, one thousand two. Then sometimes that doesn't work so the process has to be repeated again. Very frustrating! The on/off switch should be an actual switch that clicks when it is touched so I know that it's on or off. Remove the tare function from this switch. Tare is used constantly so it should have it's own switch (importance 9/10).(3) The "units switch" has 6 units represented by one switch (g, kg, oz, lb, ml, mild) that I have to cycle thru to get to the unit that I want. Now if I could do this once and stay there this wouldn't be a problem but it doesn't happen. Constantly, food, water, or any liquid drops onto the switch resetting the units which means 5 more pushes to get it back to where I started after I recognize that it's not correct. This is a constant problem cycling through the weight units. And while I'm on this, ml is not a weight measurement but rather a volumetric measurement so it should be removed from the scale. Come on, "milk", that's crazy, just tell people to use the gram units. Let's not confuse people by thinking this scale can measure both100ml of water and 100ml of honey, it's just not possible because volume can't be measured by a scale. These extra functions on these multi-function switches causes a lot of issues. I believe if the units were reduced to only 4, being grams, kilograms, ounces, and pounds with the 2-second hold to change units that would solve most of this issue. Or make it a detent switch. (importance 9/10)Now, I have trouble understanding why a company can't recognize these simple issues if it was just used by people in the company. But it's a universal problem because designers don't interact with users. I hope that one of these scale companies is willing to make these simple changes, charge $5 more, and sell a lot more scales, but it will probably take the Japanese or the Chinese to follow through for whatever reason that is.

Great scale! Charge lasts foreverrrrr
Compact, needs to be on a solid hard surface underneath every time it's used. Seems highly accurate/well calibrated. Ive used it at least a couple hundred times and a uSb charge seriously lasts several months. Awesome energy conservation in that respect. Hassle free and the Tare function works well. I mainly use it for coffee beans and lightweight packages for at home thermal label printing and it also makes a great surface for taking pics on (example attached).

Great Scale
I actually couldn't tell you if it's accurate or not, so I apologize for that. (I don't have any weighted items to test it with). Based on the things I'm using, it should be pretty accurate. (Spices and such). However, what I love about this scale is the backlight, the several units of measure, and the fact that the scale WILL NOT turn off or reset until you turn it off. Which means, if I am in the middle of meal prepping, I can not worry about the scale resetting or turning off while I am busy cooking! That is a huge plus.
