HIC Kitchen Anti-Freeze Ice Cream and Frozen Dessert Spade, Non Toxic and Self Defrosting

I'm the ice cream junky in my house and sometimes the ice cream is a little too hard. My old scoop just doesn't work very well. I've seen this, or something like it, on TV and took a chance. It really does work. Maybe it's a combination of your body heat warming the scoop and the larger "head" that just works great. The hardest ice cream isn't hard to scoop out at all. I wish I had bought more than one. It really is a good scoop.

Do not make the mistake and put this in the dishwasher. The entire finish will be removed and it turns black. Not worth the purchase.

I like these so much, I have ordered several to have at different locations. Will get thru even the hardest frozen icecream. Do not put in dishwasher.

Actually my fault, sort of. I didn't notice the warning on the side of the scoop. "Do not wash in hot water". So, it went from a highly buffed shine to a dull finish. But the important thing is; it does what it is supposed to do.

The rounded handle and the shape of the spoon while digging into your favorite icy desert leaves a lot to be desired. You can hear the liquid inside that helps keep the spoon from freezing to your desert of choice.Very light and does not inspire a feeling of quality. Don't recommend this.Probably better off just using your spatula to dig into your frozen treat.I'll give them this, it's easy to clean! Nearly flat blade allows easy washing. Not very good for scooping though.

I am very pleased with this purchase. The scoop feels like a good quality item, even though the packaging makes it look pretty cheap. It does scoop a smaller ball, perfect size for a regular cake cup but if you want big scoops to fill waffle cones or such, you better look for another scoop. From what I understand there is something contained inside the handle which keeps the scoop from frosting up, making it difficult to get your scoop off of it. Whatever it is, it must work because I haven't had any ice cream balls stuck to it yet. I just rinse it with warm water after each use and wipe it dry.
