MY PIECE OF SS 316 ROD WAS NOT STRAIGHT
I was going to use this 316 ss rod for a model propeller shaft on a project I am working on. Unfortunately the rod is not straight. It is not bent like a bow, however when put on a flat surface, it has a wow in it that would not be suited for a drive shaft.

Used to repair the handles on an old drill press - was able to manually tap these by hand after tapering the edges and using plenty of chtting fluid.
