So far so good. Have had this for months and it has a good solid (long and loud) ring and accurate time. It is a bit jumbo sized and I would definitely recommend the proper usage (wind clock-wise all the way to 55 minutes before adjusting back down to the number of minutes you need) as well as storing away from heat on a flat surface. This doesn't have a magnet so it will need its separate spot in your kitchen. We have a noisy home and this has saved many an item when the microwave or oven timers were unheard.

This mechanical timer worked perfectly. Then after just 4 months of daily use it stopped. It wouldn't start when I would set it. I had to give it a smack upside its non-existent head then it would go! At the end of the set time when it was supposed to ring the bell, it just stopped dead. If I smacked it again then it rang the bell. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a timer if I have to remind it to do it's job! I might as well stand there with a bell in my hand watching the clock!! For $12.50 you should get a product that lasts longer than 4 months. I know, WAKE UP YOUR DREAMING!Needless to say, but I'm going to anyway, I do not recommend this product.

The timmer did not ring loud enough.

Some bad reviews that bell didn't ring long enough. No matter how much time you set it for ( say 6 minutes) wind it all the way to one hour then return knob to the time you want. This loads the bell spring.
