Well Constructed
My wife and I purchased this door so our 11 month old puppy (Bella) could go outside as she pleased. I had read other reviews prior to ordering. As some have pointed out the video made installation look easier than it was, but overall it was reasonable. Even the step-by-step manual was confusing at times. After installing the insulation, I ended up with a slight gap. This was not the fault of the dog door. The sliding glass door has been with the house for a long time, so I am sure it's showing its age. I went to the local home improvement store and purchased some insulation and that took care of the problem. I was not able to install the vacation lock since the pin is not long enough. It's not a big deal to us. Overall the door is very sturdy, well constructed, and works great. It didn't take long to adjust the inside and outside sensors. The door does take up more space than I thought it would. A person who weighs 120lbs or so would get through the opening okay. Anyone larger may not. We have another door that exits to our backyard so that is not an issue for us. It didn't take long for Bella to learn how to use it. After a few tries she was going out or in without any coaxing.

So excited about this!
I just installed this panel today and so far so good! It seems to work well with the collar it came with, it just takes some adjusting with the sensor knobs to get the range you want. I’m giving four stars because the installation was not as easy as the video made it seem, and the written instructions were fairly confusing at some points. My dad who is very handy helped me get it it all together and set up. There’s absolutely no way I would have been able to do it on my own, but that is the main downside. The weather stripping wasn’t thick enough for my slider to make a tight contact so I wound up getting thicker weather stripping, but that may just be my very old sliding glass door and they way it is set on the track. Overall, I’m happy with this buy so far!Update: This was the best purchase I could have made for my dog! He has a GI condition that causes him to have accidents when I’m at work and to need to go out all throughout the night most nights. Long story short, there hasn’t been an accident since installing the panel and no more walks at odd and potentially dangerous times of night. Total game changer! Totally recommend!

Working great for us, if your dog is large contact seller for adaptations
The door has worked great for us, and been very reliable in the 5-6 weeks we've had it. The dog loves the freedom. Sure, he'd still rather have an on-demand doorman (me), but his unfettered access to the yard at any time makes him much happier. Thanks to the to High Tech Pet, who worked with us to adjust to portal height from the default height to accommodate our dog (25.5" at the withers, he had to duck a bit too much to like it at the original height). Note this does require some disassembly and re-assembly of some panels if you have to do this yourself. I recommend contacting the seller ahead of purchase if you think you may need adjustments as they may be able to do it before shipping.Initial setting for opening/closing time was perfect for our dog, and using the proximity adjustment knobs it was easy to dial in the right sensitivity for the dog's approach to the door.Assembly is easier with two people than one, just because of the length of the finished product and the need to maneuver it.I used sponge rubber foam tape (7/16-Inch) for insulation around the door rather than the provided tape, and it worked much better for us. There was a very slight gap between the lower and upper panels on one side; I placed foam tape in it to complete the seal. Our experience has been very positive so far; this door is a good solution to a tricky problem, and was designed well enough to accommodate the variations (not quite plumb) in our old sliding glass door.

Worked great for about a year, then went to crud
Worked great and were very pleased. Fast forward a year with normal use from one couch potato dog, and the door has a mind of its own. Door goes up and down all hours of the day and night on its own. Will get "stuck" going up and down constantly until you unplug the unit. We now keep it off most of the time and manually open. Kinda defetes the purpose of an automatic dog door. Buyer beware!!!!

The door is great, but the collars and batteries are total garbage, only buy them with a warranty.
TLDR: The overall product is super useful and genuinely improves both my own and my dogs lives, however the collars and batteries are garbage but a necessary evil, as a result getting a warrant for the collars is an absolute must. They've made these to be an ongoing recurring expense and it makes you feel like you're dealing with the devil. My family has dogs and cats and we got the door to keep the cats in and still allow the dogs to go in and out as they need and the convenience of allowing the dogs to go outside when they need to during the day or at night is amazing. Other than the dials being finicky, the door itself has had no issues, however the collars themselves are going to break in a year or two, if not less. I've had a 40% failure rate within the first 6 months alone, one stopped working outright, and the other's speaker broke so that it makes a constant buzzing sound that eats through the battery in a day. The housing of the collar itself uses tabs, a rubber gasket and a screw to keep the back together, however the recesses for tabs on the collar's housing are relatively thin and will break after swapping the battery out multiple times. The rest of the collar is fine enough, everything feels just barely OK enough. Nothing about these scream a quality product or justifies the extremely inflated price they charge for these. This collar itself is a 1 star device, no doubt about it, but the overall convenience of the door makes it worth dealing with them when getting the warranty and purchasing a backup collar. Although not the page to give them a review, credit where credit is due, the Asurion warranty has always been super quick, easy and phenomenal for claims, working just like an amazon return.
