Happiness has arrived.
This is a review that I am happy to offer.A lot of men might agree that the only proper shave is a wet shave, having said that, an electric shaver can be very handy.Over the years I've tried a few, the big brand names, the ones with circular cutters and the multi headed jobs but I've never been really impressed, so when I saw this unknown brand I knew I was taking a gamble.Wow, all my shaving dreams have come true. There has been a lot of thought gone into the design, with two foil heads, one cutting smooth, the other for stubble and they work in harmony with each other.Everything about it shouts quality, to the extent that when you hold the on button it counts down from three before it starts to avoid accidental switch-on.It shaves right up under the nose, no skin irritatation and the battery lasts me all week.I hope it doesn't fail, but if it does I will buy another - immediatly!!!Did I say that I like this razor.

Don't Dither - buy it now.
This is an excellent electric shaver, you couldn't get better at 2 or 3 times the price.I've had my eye on it for a while and don't know why I didn't buy it earlier. It came 50% charged, and I had 4 days worth of beard stubble - challenge time.10 minutes later the long beard stubble was gone and I had a very smooth chin and cheeks.OK not as close as my fancy adjustable blade DE razor, but it's as good as the best electric razor I've ever used/owned.(That was a Braun Synchron Universal, very expensive back in the 1970's/80's it cost twice as much then as this one does now - this one shaves just as well as that expensive Braun did). The Kemei razor itself comes in a zipped cloth travel case, with the charging lead, a second foil for hair rather than beard, a cleaning brush, and a small bottle of oil, everything is held firmly in place with elastic loops. (And an instruction leaflet with too small to read print, but that's not unusual these days). There's a mesh pocket inside the lid for cream/balm/whatever. For me the charger lead will be tucked in there rather than trying to put it back under it's elastic loop. The power button can be locked/unlocked by holding it for 3 seconds, to avoid accidental turning on if/when travelling. There's an onscreen countdown and a red lock symbol. The speed button is not continuously variable but gives 3 speed settings - 7500, 7000, or 6500 rpm.It defaults to 7000 when you turn it on.The slide up trimmer locks positively in both the on and off positions, and trims my moustache well.Charging was quick from a 30W PD charger.Using it on my chin/cheeks today a 5 minute shave took it from 100% charge to 97%.So next shaving the head:My head hair had grown to about 2mm long since my last head shave.First I used the 'Beard' foil on one half of my head. About 3 mins gave a smooth, close, result. The 'Hair' foil has visibly larger holes. After 4 or 5 mins using that the other half of my head was still showing a fine fuzz, so I switched back the the Beard foil to finish off.I suppose the Hair foil is for if you want the buzz-cut look rather than smooth baldie.*See the edit below. The charge was now showing as 90%, that's after about 15 mins total use so again promising at least a full week of daily shaves between charges.I will have to see if the speed/power decreases as the charge level reduces, but even if it does that still looks like a full week between charges.*EDIT - I have now tried using the 'Hair' foil on my beard stubble - and it shaves my chin closer that the 'Beard' foil does.I'm guessing that it's to do with the mesh size vs the hair thickness/stiffness, but for me at least those foils are labled the wrong way round. So from now on I'll be using the 'Hair' foil for my chin, and the 'Beard' foil for my head. All in all this is a very good electric shaver, particularly for the price.

Great product
A very good shave. I think I would prefer the foils in line rather than stepped. It feels more flimsy that the expensive shavers, but easy to clean, works very well and at this price, very good value for money.

No point in getting this long term
I bought this razor because I saw that the replacement foils are about £11 on Amazon and cheaper on ebay. However, although the foil offered in replacment is for the head NOT the beard. It is impossible to find a replacement beard foil. So when your foil wears out you have to buy a new razor if you want to shave the beard. The hair foil is too rough for my face - but that's all you can find. If you just want it for the head then I say buy it. But if it is for the beard best not bother. The customer service just politely blocks any enquiry as to where to find a replacement beard foil. I tried for a long time with them but was frustrated at every question - such as where can I find a replacement beard foil - no answer was ever given. They will try to tell you initially that the hair foil is the beard foil. It isn't - so if you want a long term beard shaver - this is not it.

Good Bald Head Shave
I have tried numerous/various electric shavers to obtain a good bald head shave and this shaver is 99.9% as good as a wet shave without the worry of using foam or gel and avoiding skin nicks [you can wet shave with it if you prefer]. The shaver takes a little time to get use to in knowing how to use it efficiently on your head by using both straight and circular motions when cutting. Also, it takes a few goes before the cutting heads and foil bed down to cut closer and more quickly. Shaves take a little longer than a wet shave. Overall, you get on average 6 to 8 head cuts per full charge if cutting your hair two to three times a week [more if you use it daily]. I would also recommend oiling the shaver prior to every full charge to keep the blades and foils nicely sharp. It works for me as it really does what it says on the tin. Very easy to use and clean and inexpensive to buy.

Huge Surprise
Given both the price point (circa £30) and lack of brand recognition, this has blown me away! Only a couple of weeks in of course but nevertheless...First impression is that it is a bit boxy, however it feels good in the hand and gives every impression of a well made product. It comes in a case which can hold everything, including the charging cable (other manufacturers please take note). Interestingly there are two heads, one for beard and one for body - which I have yet to try. There is also a small bottle of something which I must have a look at. The quality of the beard shave is absolutely excellent! Best I have had from an electric shaver! I also really like the power % indicator and that it has three speeds. If this was coming from a mainstream brand I would expect to pay twice the price. Very good package overall.
